From some of the mistakes he's been making this season, I don't think he's the defensive God that a lot have him down as.

He's good, he plays for England... we should cash in and get someone just as good who's not quite as well known.

To make a single mistake playing for a team like ours is a major problem because it's likely to put us under immense pressure.

 

To make the same mistake playing for a team who are capable of scoring 3 or 4 goals per game, not so much.

 

Besides which, he's the gaffer in the defence here, anywhere else he'll be bossed around by Terry or ferdinand or whoever gets to play along side him.

It's strange that such an average & overrated player seems to be wanted by several champions' league clubs & so far, hasn't put a foot wrong in international football.

 

I admire Cahill not only for his excellent performances for Bolton, but also for the dignified way he has behaved while Coyle has been hawking him about.
