December 21, 201114 yr His reaction last season at home when they equalised in the last minute says it all, which made our winner all the sweeter. Guardian writers were asked for their favourite ever PL goal David Pleat's favourite was our winner. A bit generous perhaps but... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/dec/19/guardian-writers-favourite-goal-premier-league?newsfeed=true Stuart Holden; Bolton Wanderers v Blackburn Rovers Reebok Stadium, 12 Dec 2010 This goal epitomised the American's spirit and honesty, coming under difficult circumstances. Bolton were down to 10 men and had just conceded a late equaliser. From the kick-off the ball was immediately played long to Kevin Davies, who headed it down. Holden, in the midst of an outstanding season, seized on the smallest of opportunities with a remarkable never-say-die spirit to run on to an opportunity that nobody else in his team had considered, deflated as they were. He finished the chance with an assured touch and a fierce volley. David Pleat
December 21, 201114 yr I was stood front left last night and could see him and Browny laughing there heads off when Yakubu missed that free header late on. Best manager for BW I have ever seen.
December 21, 201114 yr Did anybody notice the huge bangers on the make up woman who was applying his foundation before half time. They were belters! hahaha I noticed how much makeup she had to apply to browny to take the glow off the orange and the fact he then spent the next 5 mins looking in the mirror!
December 21, 201114 yr That's what Sam said about us. In your case you just proved his point! Fair comment, it went over my head that one, in my defence I had just woken up having had a couple of celebratory shandies.
December 23, 201114 yr Anyone seen his interview today on SSN? Commentator "I bet your glad to be out of those clubs (Bolton and Blackburn) given the position they're in now" BSA "They wouldn't be in that position if I was still there" Very arrogant but probably true. He has such confidence in his ability to bring the best out of players.

December 23, 201114 yr Yeah i saw it. I felt like ripping his head out of the telly and smashing it in. Smug cunt. Hate to say it but he is correct!

December 23, 201114 yr he may be correct but he is a smug and very bitter man. Just seen it What a twat Potato head, not franny
December 23, 201114 yr The presenter asked whether Kean could get them safe and he then rambled on for 5 minutes how he took over from ince and saved the club. He did seem as though he couldn't give a shit about us. Great manager for us and would probably have him back but seems like a prize bitter twat.

December 23, 201114 yr Sam clearly is bitter but I am thinking that is towards the board and Gartside. Doubt he is bitter at the fans. He had many good years at the club as player and manager and I don't blame him for being bitter at the board when they wouldn't back him given the success he had already shown.
December 23, 201114 yr theyd bought anelka for him out of the owners pocket how much backing did him and his bent fat son deserve
December 23, 201114 yr Slag him off all you want but if it wasnt for him we would not be in the prem and have had the likes of Djorkaeff, Okocha, Speed, Diawara, Campo, Hierro etc etc
December 23, 201114 yr Sam clearly is bitter but I am thinking that is towards the board and Gartside. Doubt he is bitter at the fans. He'd only be bitter towards fans who don't agree with his every word. That's how it works in Sam's world.
December 23, 201114 yr What do you all think he is bitter about? He gave us the best days in a lifetime and moved on because he thought he could do better elsewhere, yes he is an arrogant cunt and up his own arse but he is by far the best manager we have had in most of our lifetimes, without question. More likely that he just likes reminding everyone what a superior manager he is, like it not he is ... Arrogant, yes. Bitter? I very much doubt it ..
December 23, 201114 yr What do you all think he is bitter about? Not kicking on to that bigger club, titles and international management he craves
December 23, 201114 yr And the fact that Newcastke didn't give him time or that England did not come knocking has got fuck all to do with us. It's interesting that we all want Owen to succeed (me included) when he had a small affiliation to the club but one of our own, who we brought through is the devils sperm because he wanted bigger and better than we could offer. Even though there us not one other I dividual that I can think of in 30 yrs who has contributed more .. I have said on here months ago that this very same arrogance is what wr celebrated when he refused to go cap in hand to the big boys ...
December 23, 201114 yr How is he one of our own, and I'd say Owen had a little more than a small affiliation.
December 23, 201114 yr How so? Coyle was never really a first team player / choice. Allardyce came through the ranks and finished off his playing career here, and once again is our best modern day manager. Relatively I would say Coyle had a minor affiliation.

December 23, 201114 yr Fantastic - that will learn me. and on that bombshell... GN,GB and a very merry Xmas ...
