December 24, 201114 yr I went on one of their message boards and posed the question the day after we beat them. They seem pretty split; those who think the booing is counter-productive and those who just think it's the only way to get rid. BRFCS.COM EDIT = By the way, it had started as a wind up but developed into a serious question. Good thread Mickey .. i was enjoying it til they locked it
December 24, 201114 yr Give Blackburn fans some credit. At least they're consistent. It only took one tatty win for us and the Megson Out banners disappeared for five matches and he was Ginger Mourinho all over again. Blackburn Rovers is a once proud football club that was turned into a laughing stock over night just to be used as an advertising tool by greedy, ruthless businesspeople and Kean represents the level to which the club has stooped because of this. Don't be fooled by the butter-wouldn't-melt image he's projecting. He deserves credit for the dignified way he's handled the situation, but there has to be an incredibly hard nosed barsteward in there somewhere. Under ordinary circumstances, he would never have been appointed, nor would he have lasted this long. He could walk out any time he wants, but that would mean him not collecting a compensatory package that would set him up for life. The club's being run by people that don't understand the game, and Kean is the one taking advantage of that. Thanks for reading, Gloria.

December 25, 201114 yr What i like about keane is that he's not turned on the fans and slagged them off I was in the 'give megson time' group till he started having a pop. Once he started that the writing was on the wall.
December 25, 201114 yr I feel sorry for him in one way and not in a few others. He seems a decent guy who is trying to do a job that he's not up to... That's not his fault and he doesn't deserve the constant personal abuse he is getting. It must be happening away from the club as well as at work, plus his family will be affected too. I don't feel sorry for him picking up his wages every week though, he is getting paid a lot, I am not sure how much but he is robbing a living... if I was doing as badly at my work I would have been sacked long ago. He should have walked weeks ago. Thanks for reading (that seem to be the new catch phrase)
December 25, 201114 yr Although Kean is obviously responsible for team performance and results a lot of their fans anger at the way their club is being run should be directed at the Venkys, but they haven't been to a match since they left at half-time at Wigan due to all the abuse they got.So all the fans anger is being vented at Kean. I wonder if we would act any differently if our club was being run in the same way.
December 25, 201114 yr I'd like to think we'd act in exactly the same way. It isn't right that years of fans' investment in a club should be undone at the hands of people like Venkys, who'd beat up their mothers if it was good for publicity. Thanks for reading, Gloria.

I think the bed sheet brigade can be quite embarassing, and if the Venkys wanted to go down that route (which from SSN they almost certainly have) then the appearance on Jeremy Kyle isn't too far off. Thanks for drunkenly staring at my ramblings Pato

I see Ms Whithams side kick has joined up from BA Edited December 25, 201114 yr by athywhite1958
December 25, 201114 yr I see Ms Whithams side kick has joined up from BA I'd say they may be one and the same. Problem: Natasha ran out of folk to argue with. Solution: Create an alter ego with which to 'discuss' ideas and generally converse. Reading? It's a place along the M4 corridor isn't it? I think we beat them in the 1995 play-off final.
December 25, 201114 yr He has had death threats from what i heard. Its very easy to say you would take the abuse from the outside looking in as well. Try going to work and worrying about what might happen to your house with your wife and kids inside etc. He had to leave a restaurant with his family the other day due to abuse. Surely you would move your family well away from the area until you get your big pay day ? Failing that, if the death threats are serious, then you will be placed under police protection.
December 25, 201114 yr The abuse Megson got from our fans was totally uncalled for. Our fans are no different than Blackburn or any other club for that matter, it's just timing and circumstances that turn fans against a newly appointed manager. Steve Kean deserves a lot of credit for the way he has dealt with the abuse. Good luck to him? No fucking way.
December 25, 201114 yr What did Megson expect? He called the fans "pathetic". He needn't ever complain about the bad air between him and the fans and him. He created that himself. Very few people that know him on a personal and professional level have a kind word to say about him. He is positively odious and I wouldn't urinate on his burning body. Thanks for reading, Gloria.

Most folk on here would have him back if you re-wound a week.

They have both posted on the same day, I think it is a Natasha wannabee, Gloria isn't getting any attention on BA so 'it' is trying 'it's' luck on here, another fucking idiot if the truth was known
December 25, 201114 yr After the match I was left waiting for a lift for ages due to my lift breaking down on the way there. Took my nephew to see the players get on the coach and get his ticket signed. After protesting outside the doors the Blackburn fans surrounded our team coach and blocked them in. Stupid idiots. My nephews only 7, he was terrified. Sometimes I feel sorry for their club being ruined. Other times they deserve all they get.
December 25, 201114 yr piss off with your thanks for reading. its neither clever or funny, and is just an attempt at attention seeking.

December 26, 201114 yr Blackburn only made it where they are because Jack Walker pumped loads of money in. This is just the natural balance being restored. They have every right to protest Kean was part of the team that ousted Sam, he took a job that he was clearly not ready for, he gets paid a small fortune every week, we played them at a good time due the injuries at the back. Kean is saying he is going to have money to spend, which i find hard to believe but even if he has who in their right mind would go there ?
December 26, 201114 yr Kean is saying he is going to have money to spend, which i find hard to believe but even if he has who in their right mind would go there ? Almost any footballer who was offered more money to work at Blackburn than at other clubs.
December 26, 201114 yr Almost any footballer who was offered more money to work at Blackburn than at other clubs. OK I can see what you mean but by Jan they could be getting well behind, assume the club will insist on clauses that reduce how much they get paid if they drop. So working on the idea that players will sign where they think they will earn most does not make them a good choice. Even if they are in touch having seen the state they are in it would be a massive risk for a player chasing money going there.
