Blackburn Fans

Was just wondering what everyone thought about the treatment of Keane by Rovers fans?

Obviously the guys a turd manager and should have been sacked a while back but if they do go down this season then i reckon the fans should take a little of the responsibility. Its all well and good protesting against a shite board and bad manager but surely whilst the teams on the pitch abusing the players and manager like they have is just gona make things worse. It must be pretty hard to play football when the crowd is constantly getting on your back, for example when Yakubu scored and went over to Keane then the fans booed him. Surely thats a step to far. We have had some good away support this season getting behind the players and manager even though they have been underperforming and i think it makes a real difference.

To sum up i find the whole situation hilarious and thinks it only illustrates how stupid our lancashire neighbours really are. Would love to see blackburn go down this season :drinks:

  • He has had death threats from what i heard. Its very easy to say you would take the abuse from the outside looking in as well. Try going to work and worrying about what might happen to your house with

They are displaying their lack of class.

Very little difference to the treatment of Megson. Though Kean seems to be a nice enough bloke which changes it a little.

Don't think there was unified chanting to get Megan axed was there?

Very little difference to the treatment of Megson.

Big difference. I don't remember Bolton supporters abusing Megson en masse from the first whistle to the last. Nor do i remember the LMA issuing a statement about his treatment.

Megson got nowhere near as much stick

I don't think Bolton fans were anywhere near as bad as the Blackburn lot. They were singing "Venky's rent boy" to him after we scored our first goal with 80 minutes of the match still to play. I came away from Ewood on Tuesday disgusted with the abuse they threw at him.

Vent your frustration after the match, but during you support your team. Even if they are an overpaid bunch of tossers.

Megson got it rough.

The treatment of kean is nothing short of disgusting.

still funny, though?

Couldn't hear them in the ground :pardon:

But watched the game back and you can see the hatred towards him, you would think he would have walked by now, fair play to the bloke for sticking with it. My mate works at Rovers and they're all behind the manager, if the fans were from the beginning of the season they might not be where they are now.

At 2-1, 10 minutes to play I can't believe they didn't get behind their team, I think the two sets of supporters could have been the big difference on Tues, so proud of our fans, out sang them all game.

Keane stabbed Allardyce in the back when speaking to the new owners and got Sam sacked with the promise of doing a better job, deserves everything he gets.

Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Megson never got the fans on side, the exact opposite really.

Owen, in the majority, has got the fans on side.

Kean is just plain & simply a Venky puppet, not too good at his job. However their anger is misappointed. They are hoping that the Venky's will bring in brass & the good times, they are simple, let them carry on.

To their downfall :D

Collective destruction of their club, Venkys + Kean + Dingles.

I think the Blackburn fans are doing the right thing

this isn't just a shite management appointment a la Megson

their club has been taken over by Venky's who don't have a clue what they are doing - they are well in with MSI who advised them to take on Kean, who stabbed Alladyce in the back to get the job - and between the lot of them they are taking the club down with their ineptness - Venky's didn't even go to the match the other night

I'd be surprised if any club's fans didn't react how they did, what else can/should they do?

by the way

I think it's funny

I would imagine the only thing they can do is vote with their feet and have a total boycott, although that isn't going to happen.

If Venkys bought the club to expand their brand - then the advertising they are getting at the minute for their brand name is probably priceless. They might be quite pleased with the state of things :pardon:

No sympathy for Venkys, but I can understand why they wouldn't go to the match if it means facing a barrage of abuse from angry Rovers fans.

It just gives the owners an excuse to stay away.

They're protesting outside the training ground this morning.

I wonder what Prince Charles thinks of his charity being linked with all this, as it inextricably is.

I thought we were portrayed as a bunch of idiots in the media (quite rightly in some cases) and that the kind of manager we actually need (a battler) wouldn't touch us with a bargepole. This lot are on a whole different level.

For the record, I also think its funny

I don't think the treatment of Kean is funny at all.

However, watching the unwashed, sister-shagging, 6 fingered Dingle bastards getting themselves all worked up is highly entertaining.

If he was that bothered, he'd leave. Think of the absolute mint he is earning
