Depends how much of a cnut he's being and if it's causing disruption behind the scenes. Promotion to the Championship is presumably more important than a compensation claim to Huddersfield's owners.

 

I'm sure there was a case a couple of years ago where a manager was putting himself forward to another club whilst still employed by another. I'm thinking Pardew but not sure why...

guess the board think, after losing to Sheff U last night, they're destined for the play offs again, and want someone in who can take them past where clark hasn't previously - though that would be more of an excuse had they had say 3 years in a row in the play offs, not 1
