Nefyn is my favourite course in UK (the old back 10 not the new ones), it's brilliant

 

Royal St David's is very good around there too as in Conway. Pwhelli and Porthmadog are alreet but if you're around there avoid Abersoch it's shit

 

I don't rate Mottram, the back 9 is long but it's overplayed and I've never seen it in good nick. Same with Shrigley

Houghwood st helens way is a decent course that does buggies. When i played it we walked it though and nearly died but the course was lovely and the greens were awesome even tho we played back end of winter.

Thats a cracking knock. I played superb front 9 this morning just 3 over at the turn. My swing then decided to fuck off to the clubhouse while i stayed out there to chop my way to an 86

Your going the right way by the sounds of it. I only started playing properly last winter after just playing occasionally. I only play off 18 but our handicap qualifying comps only start on this Saturday coming. Looking forward to getting my handicap down, long way to cat one for me yet though

Was having a good roun today without anything special and triple bogeyed the last with a right royal balls up. Standard scratch was high though do dropped 0.3

yea me too aint got an handicap yet just trying to get used to hitting the ball consistently mitton fold inbetween blackburn and whalley do the buggies thing but you'll need em because its hilly as fuck by the way if any body can give me a tip to stop me topping the ball would be grateful i'm terrible with my irons all right with my driver tho

Aim for an inch lower than the ball.

that could be the problem got a mate in the pub who says he'll go for a game with me and give me a few pointers i did'nt do too badly today but god knows how the pro's hit the ball so far with their irons went and did 9 holes today it was only a small course called highfield near wheelton but its a tricky one went round in 41 its a par 30 so did'nt think it was to bad

Not since a load changed the game to drive and hide, balls bouncing all over Moss Bank Way.

I had that problem when i started. I was told remember that the swing is a rotation of your upper body and stay down throught the shot. I was lifting up on downsing trying to get it airbourne.

 

If you are struggling have a lesson with a pro and they will probably solve that in one go.
