Bowens seem to have had a number of votes now: They've even got a website too

I believe they are moving to the empty shop in between the Ridgeway (soon to be Tesco) and that perfume shop.

They do excellent whist pie's for an away day journey.

Serious post for the day: Pizza Express restaurants do ones like polo mints and they shove salady stuff in the centre. They're actually really good, the cajun chicken one particularly and usually less than 500 calories.

Good for parking then rather than the usual silly sods who just dump their car outside at the bottom of the Lane. Excellent.

Isn't a pizza, technically, a pie?

Dont be silly. Pies have a top or they're not a pie, surely. Like open sandwiches, they're a piece of bread with something on top.

So a custard pie could come in the same definition ?

You're thinking of them Americans who pretend they can reverse a tank. Not the same thing you see.

And another thing. Anyone who orders "deep pan" is just wrong!

I think Karen Carpenter should have lived round these parts.

She did, you just didn't find her, hence the WORLD hide and seek champion (posthumous)
