Unfortunately for me I went to Birmingham on Tuesday and Alonso's performance just reinforced my opinion that he's wank and can't defend to save his life.

 

It's left back all day for me.

 

Anyone thinking we need another midfielder just refer to all those stats about goals conceded, whilst some are down to being left exposed by a weak and lazy midfield the majority are down to sheer incompetence.

cracking signing and got to be left back for me. alonso is doing ok there and showing potential but there's still frailities in his game esp at defending,he doesn't get close enough to his man and seems better going forward than at the back. warnock has got bags of experience and hopefully this will shine through and help the others along. that's my opinion,coyle on the other hand will play him as the reserve side's goalkeeper
