August 13, 201213 yr Her indoors wanted to go, to this theme park and water park they have there. Is it a decent place? Or just the same as most spanish resorts?
August 13, 201213 yr Salou is just a typical British invaded Spanish seaside resort. Plenty of bars, big beach, nice weather. The theme park Port Aventura is well worth a visit though. Tallest roller coaster in europe and also loads of other decent rides. http://www.rcdb.com/4792.htm
August 13, 201213 yr Quality at Easter, full of students on sports tours. I've done the 'tour' for the last 2 years. It is absolutely unreal but utter utter carnage. Ive never seen and probably never will see again some of the antics that I saw over there. As for the place its alright, nothing special but a nice beach.
August 13, 201213 yr Salou is rough as, Universal Studios place isn't. One's cheap, the other isn't. HTH.
August 13, 201213 yr Author Salou is rough as, Universal Studios place isn't. One's cheap, the other isn't. HTH. TA. Can get a 2 day park ticket for £43 each, 1 day theme park 1 day water park. Fair enough price IMO, considering the ammount they charge at blackpool.

August 14, 201213 yr cool so she can baby sit while we go out Unless this happens, it proved that she wears the pants in the relationship and Ryan is henpecked
August 15, 201213 yr I've booked to go to this Portaventura gaff for next summer, i know it's waaaaaay off - but not many free sprog places left. Anyone off here been?
August 15, 201213 yr Unless this happens, it proved that she wears the pants in the relationship and Ryan is henpecked Ryan will be booked in for spa days FACT
August 15, 201213 yr Port Aventura is brilliant, lots to do some scary rides and the shows are great, temple del fuego is my favourite show and if you are staying at the park, comfy and not bad food and early access to park

Stayed in Hotel Port Aventura last year and can't complain about it. Theme Park is fantastic and they sell yards of lager for about €5 a pop. What time of year are you going?
August 15, 201213 yr Stayed in Hotel Port Aventura last year and can't complain about it. Theme Park is fantastic and they sell yards of lager for about €5 a pop. What time of year are you going? This time next year, i had to book early to get a free child place for my daughter - they get snapped up pretty quick for the school hols. Stayin all inc at the El Paso which is a sister hotel to the Hotel Port Aventura. Not really my kind of holiday, but my 8 year old daughter will love it - and if the kids are happy an' all that.
August 15, 201213 yr Author Unless this happens, it proved that she wears the pants in the relationship and Ryan is henpecked How does this work then? What I say, goes.
August 15, 201213 yr Forget Salou and go down to Cambrils which is the next stop along. Stayed there at Camping Sanguli for 4 years running, 93-97, it was great for the kids, been back to Salou twice for stag do's, it's OK typical Spanish mainland
August 16, 201213 yr This time next year, i had to book early to get a free child place for my daughter - they get snapped up pretty quick for the school hols. Stayin all inc at the El Paso which is a sister hotel to the Hotel Port Aventura. Not really my kind of holiday, but my 8 year old daughter will love it - and if the kids are happy an' all that. Theme Park will be very busy but is open until midnight. I went this time last year and found it best not to head into the park until about 5pm. Catch some rays and beer pool side in the day. Best of both world's can't go wrong. If you want to go in the day to the park you can but express passes at the hotel reception for about €7 a head. Straight to the front of the potential 2 hour queues for the bigger rides - worth doing. Didn't think much to the water park and had to pay to get in but it is half price staying in a Port Aventura hotel. Edited August 16, 201213 yr by Walkden26
