yes he did but that was (in my opinion) because he said openly he wanted to try and improve the playing style of the team and move away from the SKD route 1 style (that we are still using to this day)

  • I'd say that we were far from "certain relegation" despite the Sammy Lee era; we still had a cohesiveness within the squad and the results under Lee were not reflective of our abilities. It was an ach

  • Can I be first to say.   I'd take him. He knows the league, plays attractive football and in my opinion is just as good as Pardew.   Shite lazy journalism though.

Cunts sometimes make good Managers, so I'm not saying he'd not be right, just passing on a viewpoint

Indeed, but I always reckon Ferguson comes across as a cunt, and he's not done too badly unfortunately

He cant buy a win in the Bolton vets league. :)

ANEWMAN OUT

Ferguson is apparently a decent chap away from the pitch.

The posh taxi firm we use here at work are often contracted out to pick up Man U staff/players and a few of the drivers I've chatted to have said he's one of the nicest they've come across. They say the majority will just leave them sat outside wherever they are and stroll out whenever they feel like it, no apogies for being 2 hours late or anything. Apparently Taggart always rings to tell them he's running late and often invites them up and sits them at a table with a coffee until he's finished. Tevez and that Joorabchian are/were apparently the most ungracious of them all too.

Wash your mouth out, remember he's a DMB, so there is nothing decent about him.

I doubt anyone will find that surprising.

Hence me saying "apparently".

I, of course, think he's a cunt.

luckily I aint the manager, I'm just the keeper centre half and goal scorer up to now, league starts sunday so as you lot say, pre season is only for fitness

He is. But you didn't see this

But if you lose, you'll be calling for the manager's head, obviously.

Can't think of a manager who's realistic that would bring the initial feel good factor that Coyle brought, though I'd (maybe wrongly) guess there are realistic ones who can do better than Coyle (not that it'll be hard) and Curbishley would be one of 'em,

We have one chance at going up, we'll lose our better players if we don't go up this season, Gartside give this club a chance and make a change ASAP.

To be honest, any feel good factor isn't the top of my priorities.

A few wins would be nice. That might create a feel good factor, well, as much as our fans can muster.

A utility player, that's what we need

TSO for Player/Manager

I reckon after 2 weeks, we would have the fittest team in the division after he had them running up and down Rivvy Pike with weighted rucksacks

you know it makes sense

The 'Feel Good' factor definitely helps and this went a long way towards us stopping up when he first arrived .. as of course did borrowing the likes of Wilshere (although our medical staff have ruined his career of course).

The trouble is this can only last so long and there needs to come a point where tactical nous is needed. This is where Coyle has been found out IMO.

Can't think of a manager who's realistic that would bring the initial feel good factor

Who cares about a "feel good factor" - we just need to get rid of the "presuming we're going to lose even before a balls been kicked factor"

Well I think it did too, I believe we would have gone down for sure in that season with Megson, things only started going pear-shaped around December 2010, well we weren't that bad, but we relied on Sturridge a lot and we did have a good cup run, things went seriously bad when Holden got maimed at Old Trafford and then went incredibly bad since we lost 5 in a row after the Semi final defeat and Arsenal win

It's been the same ever since, constant disappointment and crap.

Can't believe that between August 2010 and December 2010 we looked like the Brazil of the Prem, Coyle had us winning games and scoring incredible team goals.

We need the fat flag bearers back and the "I feel good" music.

Sort it Reebok Voice, or resign.

And fireworks. Sod the H&S brigade!

Well I didn't say that what's we need, just saying that I can't think of a realistic manager that'll be an exiting one, though I do think there's better available and that's what matters, though Bolton going for a Megson esque/negative manager will only eventually lead to them being sacked and being booed by the fans.

Coyle was the perfect difference to what we saw under BSA and Megson, a man who I thought would get us playing great on the floor football and make us a winning team, it briefly happened, but now that's all gone and there isn't any excitement, just week after week frustration and well embarrassment.

Coyle would have to go on like a 20(?) match unbeaten run, just to get himself about even with the pathetic results we've had in the last 18 months or so.

lets suppose OC went and Curbishley came in and failed.

what would the arguments be then?

he`s old hat, he`s boring, he`s negative, out of work for 4 yrs we should have known he`d lost it, we need some one new, a young up and coming Manager, someone who plays good football, etc, etc.

which is what we have now only he`s having a bad run.

Allardyce took us to heights - left under a cloud, people blame him for ruining the club

Lee - tried to play the right way, got no results, out the door before his arse print was in the Gaffers Chair

Megson - Did an excellent job, Ginger Mourhinio and all that but when he tried to change the style of play nobody would give him the time to work through it, hounded out of the club

Coyle - Came in with a blaze of glory, all going well til some terrible injuries threw us off track, currently being hounded out

theres a pattern here isnt there lads?

Megson - Did an excellent job,

short memories some folk

He got sacked because we were shite, bottom three and the club was a mess, there was so much hatred.

pre season is only for fitness

bloke I know plays for The Pineapple. said you were a load of "fat cunts"

yes he did but that was (in my opinion) because he said openly he wanted to try and improve the playing style of the team and move away from the SKD route 1 style (that we are still using to this day). He brought in some players who may or may not have been up to the job, it didn`t work out, we went shit and he got the bullet as no-one was prepared to give him the time to sort it out because he was a dour fucker and nobody liked him. However.......prior to that he did a miraculous job keeping us up and we never looked in ay danger of going down the following year. We all know his European comments pissed people off badly similar to Phil Neals `water off a ducks back` comment in the 80`s and folk couldn`t wait to turn on him as soon as they got good reason.

The point is it doesn`t matter who we have as Manager, people always see every decision as being made by a clueless idiot when results go against you.

FSA had the happy knack of sticking Subs on and getting instant rewards which made him look like a genius.

OC changes things around and when it doesn`t work hes a knobcheese who doesn`t know anything about football.

Thas life, you stand and fall by your decisions but hounding out someone who fits the bill as the perfect choice and was doing really well til that DMB ended Holdens career is stupid to me. Can you seriously say his early success was nothing to do with him? that the team managed itself and he just stood watching?

How many years did it take Ferguson to get it right at Old Trafford and he had pretty much a blank cheque?

I say get off the blokes back and get behind your team. If we are bottom 3 by Christmas fair enough but we won`t be.

I`d bet we are nearer the top than the bottom by the end of November
