but thats because Gartside sacked him before he that season was out

 

had Coyle been sacked at Christmas, it would have been neck and neck

 

1st season, they both kept us up having come in when we were struggling

2nd season, both guided us to comfortable mid table finishes

3rd season... one definitely did relegate us the other might have, but we'll never know

 

though is that because the job coyle had done was regarded as better because he's a jolly smiley chap
