Third Anniversary Imminent

Featured Replies

Three years coming up early next month. Now, the reason I bring this up is that more than 90% of the people I know have had failed marriages, or if failed is too harsh, marriages that have run their course before coming to amicable conclusions. So other than ferreting away all my spare money into oil investments, what other steps should I take for the statistically inevitable marital collapse?

And at your three year anniversary, were you:

A) Never got that far

B) Wedded bliss, can't believe it ended

C) Experiencing difficulties

D) Writing was on the wall

E) FUBARed.

I'm coming up to my 10th wedding anniversary next May....incredible really, I've had plenty of friends who've been married and divorced in that time. I even have one friend who has been married, divorced, married again and is now going through a second divorce.....in that same 10 year period.

I've had a few long term relationships and the honeymoon period usually goes after 2-3 years.

I just don't know how a chap can keep from touching another woman for life.

Breaks with nature.

I'm really not in the best position to answer this right now, actually.

They're talking about marriage, not monogamy, Spider!

Condolences by the way. You can come out with me and Blondie on Saturday if you wear a wig and dress (again) :D

Go open the door, take a deep breath of proper air, then repeat 5 times. You'll feel betterer.

No

I'm too fucking miserable.

All I'd be doing is sucking in a lungful of disappointment, breathing out a cloud of self pity, then trudging back indoors to wallow in a cloying, fitful puddle of nagging doubt.

You go and do it.

Depends how much codeine the doctor is prepared to prescribe.

I'm currently moving like a metronome between a chasm of despair and a pit of self loathing.

Tits n fannies. Amazing the effect they can have.
