October 22, 201213 yr Been together 31 years, got married for our daughters 21st When asked what she wanted for her 21st birthday she said she wanted me and her mum to be married. I said I wasn't thinking of spending that much. We go out together, we stop in together. Don't get me wrong, we've had our moments, but all in all we're not a bad pair.

Also, you probably spend a fair bit of time away from your loved ones so can appreciate things a bit more when you're home. So I think you'll be fine. I on the other hand, feel like I'm staring right up my own arse aperture some days, and fancy a different view.

Ask Smiffs, he'll tell you I'm quite unremarkable. I don't know whether being away from home so much is a help or a hindrance, to be honest. We manage, but being away for weeks or months and then being plunged back into a domestic routine created without my influence, but to which I can only be an interference, has its own challenges. She's used to having the whole bed, for Christ's sake!
