November 9, 201213 yr There's a Swindon forum somewhere with everyone asking who he is, proclaiming him shit before he's kicked a ball and moaning about their club being a feeder club for the likes of Bolton.
November 9, 201213 yr Good move all round, lad has been injured, he now gets competetive football, raises his fitness levels, and hopefully comes back the player we all hoped he would become.
November 9, 201213 yr I hope we've slipped in one of those 'must play every game' clauses in his contract.
November 9, 201213 yr There's a Swindon forum somewhere with everyone asking who he is, proclaiming him shit before he's kicked a ball and moaning about their club being a feeder club for the likes of Bolton. Hmmm sounds somewhat familiar.
November 9, 201213 yr Great loan. I hope its only a month. That way if he does well we can have him back in time for fa cup and on the bench. If he does shite then no loss for us. Plus its always nice to mess up morale for other clubs, you know. Im assuming they already have a right back? Musnt be much kop if they are only 7th. Shit bastard. Maybe he was the player that keeper was having a go at before he got subbed? Plus Mears is more than happy to be sub right back so we have it nicely covered.
November 9, 201213 yr How can we let him go on loan. Most see him as our saviour don't they? I don't Jsl
November 10, 201213 yr I am not sure I would say I believe Joe Riley to be our saviour ... I'm not even sure what that means. I do think he is already our best right back based on the handful of games he's played. I'm sure Dougie is aware both Riley and Vela are both excellent prospects
November 10, 201213 yr Thought he was pretty poor at Crawley. Be good to get some games under his belt
November 11, 201213 yr The loan system is there to give players first team experience when they cannot get into the side for one reason or another at their parent club. The system has been used to good effect over the years and both parent and loaning club have benefited. If he comes back with confidence and a better player I'm all for it.
November 12, 201213 yr I don't see it as a bad thing, I'm not sure why some people are syaing he's the best right back at the club at present, when he's only played a handful of games and hasn't really excelled in them. A bit of game time at Swindon will do him the world of good.
November 14, 201213 yr According to sources in Swindon, the notoriously unpredictable Paul di Canio wanted to adopt a try-before-you-buy policy, despite a deal having been agreed between the two clubs a few days earlier, and that a minor injury then led to them sending Riley back I agree that Di Canio is a bit of a twat, I'm not sure many wanted him as manager....apart from those simpletons who wanted him as manager because he sometimes says and does funny stuff
November 15, 201213 yr Sent back as he turned up with an injury and it said it was a try before you buy deal, meaning Freedman is prepared to sell him ?

The guy has played about 4 games.
November 16, 201213 yr Sent back as he turned up with an injury and it said it was a try before you buy deal, meaning Freedman is prepared to sell him ? possibly, but perhaps Freedman wants to see how he performs after playing a few games at a reasonable level before making a decision either way.
