HomerJay Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 (edited) Do you know, I think he would. Providing it lead to a 12 month extension Edited January 31, 2013 by HomerJay Quote
Guest Blixa Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Good point, but I think he'll wait until he is a free agent at the end of the season. Settled in Bolton, in no rush to uproot I'd say. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 (edited) Davies isn't going to take a pay cut for 6 months. And we would not get a fee for Davies for me he's BWFC through and through he should be retained in the back room team and play Sundays for Jays over 35s, be good to see him keeping the goal wizard that is Brixton on the bench:) Edited January 31, 2013 by Mounts Kipper Quote
Guest Blixa Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Nixon claims Ngog to Fulham is a loan deal, albeit one with a fee involved. Be amazed if we went for that. Quote
Garrp Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I really like ngog Hes one of them we could still be waiting and expecting him to be consistent in 5 years time. It just isnt going to happen, mainly imo because he cant stop picking up these little niggly injuries Quote

QFPants Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Can never decide if he's injury prone or a soft arse. Seems to be missing for 2-3 weeks at a time with injuries that Davies would run off. All bodies are different so maybe I'm being unfair, but its very frustrating Quote
DazBob Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 #vazte I'm not sure you can say Vaz Te's were 'niggling'. Well, you could if niggling meant career-threatening. Quote

Carlos Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 In today's finances, £1m is small change to Fulham. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Worrying thing about a try before you buy is that they probably won't buy once they tried...! Quote
DazBob Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Anyone got any idea how much we've actually had to pay (in terms of fee, not wages) for Ngog? if we can get our money back and get him off the wage bill I'd not lose any sleep. Quote
Casino Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 indeed but then so is 4, to fulham to us, bearing in mind we have sordell, davies and afobe, and ngog is always crocked, makes sense i'd see another one coming in if ngog went, unless he really fancies eaves or one of the other kids Quote

DazBob Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 it was supposed to be 4 million no way we're getting that back I agree, there's no way we'll get 'owt like £4m But, was the £4m all in one go or was that the total including clauses/add-ons? I'm hoping it was heavily weighted towards the add-ons, because I doubt any of those will have been activated. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 My worry about Ngog, as others have hinted, is that he looks like he could be a great player in slight flashes. Flogging him off cheap could be something we'd regret. Freedman obviously doesn't fancy him for us though and he sees him everyday in training. So might be more than just a confidence/fitness thing. tomski Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I like him, but we get say a million pound loan fee in view of a permanent move its good business for a player who may or may not become a good player. Quote

Flogging him off cheap could be something we'd regret. How long do we give him though? He's been here a season and a half now and I reckon you can count his 'flashes' on one hand. He's out of contract at the end of next season isn't he (?), so if we leave it much longer we'll be looking at yet another signing running down his contract and walking away for nothing. Quote

Ratwhite Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Bastard It's not a patch on the vertical drain 3000 I know, it's all about economy. Barnsley on 2nd? Quote

DazBob Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 i'd see another one coming in if ngog went, unless he really fancies eaves or one of the other kids Chris must be champing at the bit, especially after having a taste of regular first team football. I'd say Sordell, 2 x Davies and Afobe plus either Chris or Jack Sampson for the odd cameo should be plenty. Quote
Casino Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 the nest will be gagging to see jack and chris before season end there'll be booing opportunities aplenty Quote
