Trudged the walk in to Leigh for early doors in the " Ale House ", managed to sort all the apathy out, did Bond St & George before i caught the match bus which was delayed in traffic, no time for a pre match cocktail in our host pubs. Got a freebie ticket of Whites Man, ta mate, then bumped into Gas Man Mick, Rochdale Terry & Twiggy. Shit match, a piss and a pint and another long walk home.

Sorry to hear about that P, managed to get my dad home out of hospital, nowt worse than being stuck in a ward at this time of the year.

cheers mate , glad your dad is home :)

I've been looking forward to this game for weeks. Awful. It's not often I want to leave early. Great to see some faces though, too many to mention so I'll mention the ones I saw but didn't get to say hello to:

Peter North, AS, Fenny!

My mate had a domestic with her boy so we ended up having to leave Scotts just as it was starting to be a riot and went in the Harvester. At least I saw Meldrew

:D x

Got better later.. At my mum and dads for Christmas dinner #2 and lots of booze... While the other half sleeps it off at home.

Little else.

Cider and horse racing.

Now cider at home.

At least six pints of Vimto and not moved off the sofa, back into work in the morning and still feeling as rough as the ex looked.

Sounds like a top day, mate, but wtf happened in 24 mins to cause an abandonment?

The officials get paid if the match plays for a minimum 20 minutes, he was kind and played 24, seriously though, although it was 'wet' there were no standing puddles, the ball ran OK, no dangerous 'he could die tackles' we were baffled, it meant we got to have our Christmas 'do' a bit earlier than planned, oh! and fair play to the lads from LR who stayed and had a few drinks with us

I left the house at 13:45 with the intention of going to the bok. I've just got home via my mums, did we win? I appear to have erased 15:00 to 17:00 from my memory banks

Yes, a thumping 5-1 win, you missed a belter.

Bugger, I knew that 3rd bottle of Rioja was a bad idea.

Bruce Rioja?

Possibly, was he assisted by Colin (hot) Todd(y)

Not sure, mate, but I've got a cheeky Semillon.

Mike Semillon the goalie?

It was a toss up between the match or continuing reading the David Walsh book on Lance Armstrong - Seven Deadly Sins which I got for crimbo. Unfortunately I made the wrong decision but now I'm back with the book things are better.

walsh is on talkshite pretty regular with keys and gray
