Embarrassing.

Fans who I hear where I sit chirp on that they miss the passion and excitement of the premiership then today aren't anywhere to be seen.

£15/£5 for a Premiership game today and we were embarrassing in numbers.

Sunderland showed how fans can lift their team and probably has put them in the 4th Round.

Non existent fans who couldn't be bothered should be ashamed.

Badly fitting Macedonian t-shirt?

Got 2 from there

The blue Robots away top

And then me and gumbo found a little place selling t-shirts for their rivals' firm; Skopje capital city boys

Jules

That makes me über fan

When are they putting the extra rows in at the front?

I went, enjoyed my day. Rough as fook from Friday night mind.

#1 fan.

Got a capital city boys top, shame about the white power logos on it.

I presume anyone who didn't shoplift ale from the Spar in Marseille is a pretty shit fan.

you think people didnt go today to make the club look "tinpot." seriously? that is what you actually believe?

No - I thought I was pretty clear. Collectively, a high proportion of us chose not to go to the game and I think it made the club look tinpot.

I'm not suggesting that anybody didn't go because they wanted to give that impression of the club.

Only found out yesterday that I could go to the game, combination of getting the day off work and my 5 year old, by pure coincidence, being due a visit to his auntie in Bolton between 2pm and half 5. Enjoyed the game, decent enough for 15 quid.

The only embarrassment was Sunderland's tiresome cock-waving about their support. The club have treated both cups with apathy for years (despite our relative success in them) and the previous years attendances show that this sort of crowd is hardly a new phenomenon. Hoping to be there next week but depends on family and that. Can't blame anyone who didn't go today, be it because they wanted a rare Saturday with their kids, clock up a few hours in work or because there's been 11 blokes in white shirts who can't give a shit 4 weeks out of 5.

Well said

What happened? Walked behind the North stand to Scott's saw no trouble.

Just some low life mackems giving it the billy big bollocks to some elderly wanderers walking in the opposite direction near the spiral staircase.

you didn't make that clear, at all.

did you drive all the way from Kent to make the game today?

Were the sunderland fans today more passionate than the Bolton fans who were there ?

Were they better than the support we had at Huddersfield before Xmas.

If your view on the club is based on the number of fans we have at a specific game you would never have a Bolton fan in the first place.

Like you I live away from Orton so have plastic fans of other clubs giving me grief about the club. I had a 14 year telling me the New Year's Day game was a good game cos Leeds won and I will get stick about the crowd today but only off pricks who have nt got a clue. I normally agree with stuff you post but the idea that I might be embarrased by how many people could be arsed doing something I could nt is stupid.

Orton ? Meant Bolton.

If you want to go... go

If you don't want to go .... don't

FUCKING SIMPLE REALLY.

If everyone 'had' to go, be bloody well assured HH you'd be so far back of a very long queue that you'd be pulling your pension before you had the good fortune to see your first game, now FUCK OFF YOU MORON.

For what's its worth, I really enjoyed the more selective crowd today. No Boo'ers, no whingers, know it alls or bastard day trippers, telling me how I can or cannot support my team.

One of their fans was telling me that there was loads of daytrippers today who never got to aways

Their no.1 fan "Bosingwa's Barnet" is well embarrassed by it

Everyone has freedom of choice whether or not to go to games and I am not questioning people's choice at all.

I was just embarrassed today to see a home crowd which was rivalled by the away crowd when cheap tickets were on offer against a premiership team.

Granted the team and players haven't been playing well, I have been frustrated by it all, but today was a welcome distraction, a chance to see the fringe players get their chance.

How can we go from 22-23,000 one week to 7,000 the next, I can't understand it.

Don't get me wrong, it's added expense and people like the welcome break from football for a week or two after a hectic Xmas period and I don't dispute that. But surely we can get more than 7,000 against Sunderland.

I dread to think how many if we had drawn a lower league club.

I know we aren't a big club or even a premiership club anymore but how do the players feel when one week they are getting boo'd when the teams are announced and then the next they are playing to an empty stadium.... Why would any prospective signing want to come here?
