freds dad Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Anyone on here work in it? I want to insure a second car in my name but my NCB is used on my main car. Is there any way I can share my NCB over both cars as obviously I can only drive one at a time. Quote
no balls Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Don't admiral do that or have I not listened to the adverts properly? Quote
freds dad Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 Don't admiral do that or have I not listened to the adverts properly? NB's your hearing is correct but its for different named drivers. I want both cars insured in my name. Quote
leigh white Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I am in the same boat, i have by dads car now and the insurance quoted me some stupid price, trying to sort something out on here now. Quote

BUT its not hard and fast, they can do what they fuck they like. they could give you 10 years NCB if they so wanted. ring and ask them all. if you take two cars to them then you may have a chance. Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Back to the broker discussion- try an independent one and let them do the work for you. My brother does this, and although they add a bit, the deals are usually good, and the policies a little more comprehensive- after all, they won't want to give you a shit product Quote
JD74 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Don't admiral do that or have I not listened to the adverts properly? Admiral are bloody expensive too. Just had my renewal through with them and they wanted to charge me nearly £700 for my policy so I shoppped around and got it for £240 from another insurer. Same level of cover and everything. Quote

Andydee Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 My renewal has just come through. At first glance it looked like it had reduced by 30%, result thinks I, then realised they'd increased the number of monthly payments from 9 to 11. It had reduced but only slightly! I always shop around anyway. Quote
no balls Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Mine has gone down. 1 year older but 80 quid betterer off! Quote

Sweep Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Mine has gone down. 1 year older but 80 quid betterer off! Mrs CWP's has come down from £329 to £241, which is a right result Quote
no balls Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Mrs CWP's has come down from £329 to £241, which is a right result So all that equal malarkey and premiums going up was bollocks then? Quote
only1swanny Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Had mine cancelled 2 weeks ago due to none payment. Sent me an equivalent refund to 2 months over paid. It was up for renewal in may. .. go figure. ... Adrian flux will mirror your no claims Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Paid £600 last year, renewal quote came for £950 even with 4 years NCB. Did a Confused search and ended up getting it elsewhere for £547. Worth shopping around when there can be such a big price difference. Quote
Sweep Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 So all that equal malarkey and premiums going up was bollocks then? It seems so, but I think we live in quite a "low risk" area as well - I thought it must be a mistake as it's so low, anyway I'm going to get a quote for it again but based from SpazNob's post-code and I'll bet it more than doubles! leigh white Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Reet, got the old car SORN, and just transfered the insurance which runs out at the end of March to the new car, i will then get a quote. Liverpool Vic are doing it for £276 fully comp, so if it's any more when i get a new quote, i will switch to them. Quote

Mine's parked on the road of an evening and I thought having a fabric top would increase it (oh and a VW turbo engine underneath ) but no. It must be my age they think I'm a grown up and evrifink Quote
