April 24, 201313 yr Plenty collective amnesia in the Anfield area. LFC bought him for a cut price of £22.8M on the same day that they paid £35M for Andy Carroll. He was cheap because an honourable club like Ajax was not prepared to have him play again after being found guilty of, erm, biting an opponent. Probably not. 2 footed tackles that could potentially threaten a fellow professionals career are only 3 games ban. I know which id rather be on the receiving end of. Defoe did the same, and was only handed a 3 game ban, Diouf spat at the lad from Pompey, 3 game ban. Dispicbale was that. Any other player in the league woul've been handed 3 games at the most without doubt. Only Joey Barton would've received the same kind of punishment. I'm not defending him, just think 10 games is a bit on the heavy side.
