  1. Me too. should Morecambe prevail and I hope they do fucking off Tranmere then we can enjoy the clamour for tickets
  2. Absolutely Traf a wonderful team performance though I thought Gethin Jones was exceptional. Tonight`s events did little for my stress levels, fingers nails, blood pressure or Liver function. Av it !!!!

    CREWE

I haven`t signed in for ages so please forgive me if I duplicate what has been posted previously. After successive relegations we were happy to suck up the momentum afforded by Evatts appointment. Each signing was according to IE a perfect fit for his aspirations to take Wanderers forward. We believed it and the Bookies believed it. I have dutifully watched every game apart from Colchester as I was in Corfu and we are lets face it shocking. Billy Crettin (sorry bless him) was partially at fault for both Newport goals and two more at Barrow and should have been replaced rather than facing Table Toppers Cambridge particularly with no sub GK on the bench. The kid needs a breather. Today given we have a televised fixture v Salford on Friday was the right opportunity to play Alexander or Gilks rather than through one or the other in on Friday night in front of the camera`s. Delaney - who wasn`t first choice but is far better than Taft and Santos after a very dodgy start have defended well on the whole. Baptiste should be guiding and encouraging the raw but promising Kioso but clearly isn`t. The number of times Pickering & Kirk who are granted decent players at this level waltzed through was ridiculous with no lessons learned. Overall defensive stability is being undermined by understandable lack of confidence in the keeper. Midfield - Well Comley and White according to Evatt are both top players. We haven`t seen anything yet to back this up. From what I witnessed last season I reckon Sonny Graham would do a better job in the holding role. Aside from Crettin Biggest disappointment is Ali Crawford. How many free kicks has he taken without hitting the target - keeper saves then fair enough but he cannot seem to keep a shot down whereas most of his corners are cut out at the near post barely 4 foot off the ground leaving us vulnerable on the counter attack. We have two giant Centre Backs I would have expected some product with decent delivery by now. Ali has occasionally flickered - a great ball for equaliser v Mansfield but we need far more from him. Sarcevic who has improved dramatically and is becoming more influential must wonder what the hell he is doing here. Up top no issues Delfonso & Doyle have looked promising given a supply. We have had a dozen games to implement the IE tactical plan and it isn`t working. Both Newport and Oldham showed how the press can be achieved - Wanderers haven`t sussed it yet. I suspect we are in for a bloody hard season but please IE give the lads a fighting chance by dropping Crellin.
  4. I cannot imagine attending a game without anesthetic. Horwich is a better option than Bolton pre and post match but with dwindling numbers it has been convenient to drink in Spoons till 14:15 and catch the train now they are running on Saturdays again. The Villa coach mentioned by Marc505 was a double decker they pretty much filled The Crown but there was no bother.
  5. My beloved Wanderers are more than welcome to keep me and my missus money but I fully understand others may not be in a position to waive their cash. I cannot really explain why but I am very optimistic about the new season whenever it starts.
  6. Precisely Casino. If, and I very much doubt it will happen, this season is abandoned completely do Bury get reinstated as a third tier club as they were in August 2019? The potential for legal challenges are endless.
  7. Me and the missus plus friends went Fri - Mon Lincoln was excellent aside from the match being off but I did get to see England batter NZ in the guesthouse before going out on the lash.
  8. Bullard is a pain in the arse but in fairness my dislike of the chap has mellowed marginally following the Vlog.

    Take Over

Hallelujah !!! That we have a club to support and that the horrible wait for some certainty if finally over. It has been so painful I had almost resigned myself to BWFC going under and having to find something else to do on Saturdays - I could not follow another club. I was sat at my desk in Manchester yesterday when the first of many texts then emails arrived confirming the sale had gone through everyone so pleased for me and for Bolton Wanderers. I maintain that 99%+ of football fans are genuinely nice people - every club has a few dickheads including us. At this point it would be remiss not to mention Bury my heart goes out to you and just perhaps the EFL may reverse their decision. I got home via Spoons and got leathered more in relief than joy. Like everyone else I have spent hours upon hours reading the inaccurate and sometimes spurious posts on WW. I dont `do any other Forums I dont do social media, aside from the missus is on Facebook, and was naive/ foolish enough to believe Howard then Sluffy although I could barely understand what they were on about . I appreciate most posts were well intended and thank you to all who have tried to shed light on what has been occurring. I purposely haven`t posted (dont worry I am not delusional I know I will not have been missed) because I didnt know anything. I want to offer my sincere gratitude to The Administrators FV and particularly the Davies family for allowing the takeover to go ahead. Their patience and fortitude has been remarkable in getting the deal completed whilst that slimy twat continually threw obstacles in the way. Aside from the pure greed aspect i reckon KA was getting off on it - because he could. His time will come. The season is gonna be tough sad to say and the best we can hope for I reckon is to start next season in Division Two without a points deduction but crucially we are alive and I will be purchasing two season tickets asap. Incidentally I bumped to Laurence Bassini (what a delusional nut job) last week after a brief chat I asked "Are you on drugs?" LB indignantly "No" Ian "Then we had better get you some". Sorry for going on repeating a lot of what has already been said but I have been saving this up for months. So proud to be a Wanderer.
  10. Metro (yes I know) states Swansea V Birmingham is on Red button. No mention that our game will be covered. Got Sky Sports News on and it confirms same so sorry chaps no excuse (aside from travel difficulties) not to join the rest of us this evenings freezing yours nads off and chances are leaving hugely disappointed.
  11. Precisely spot on - it is what it is and thoroughly depressing but we ain`t totally knackered or cut adrift yet. WBA likely to be too strong. Reading next week for more important. Not sure who decides but I would have happier if the fixture could have been held back a week or two.
  12. 6.8k usual lemmings including me
  13. Gutted but Wanderers competed until second goal then capitulated. If Donaldson equalises then who knows. We are shite quality wise that is a given but the endeavours against Rotherham and Stoke took its toll once it was 2-0. Not sure sacking PP will help ffs Pep can only polish a turd so far.......... Get behind the boys Casino - my theory regarding the Red Button clearly awry - Sky Covered 5 matches this afternoon - thank fuck ours wasnt one of them !
  14. Can we not just cut him? - Sorry - Only joking I am not into violence but he very limited totally a one trick pony. Then again I was royally praising him for his winners at WBA and Reading !!!.
  15. Thomo was wonderful winger. I recall him totally destroying Portsmouth Full Back in first half and then his second half replacement on a Sunday in a 4-0 win. Pompey had spent 400k (big money for a second tier team in mid seventies) and Burnden crowd reminding them "What a waste of money". I did not have the privilege of meeting Peter personally but I know a guy who knew him and had nothing but praise. Sad day. RIP.
