Why is there a rose on the badge??

Looks good

Looks cheap & crap.

Never liked the circular BWFC, and we were founded as Christ Church FC in 1874

"by mid July [1874] ......... Proof of their ability being forthcoming, the Christ Church FC was inaugurated, under the Presidency of the Vicar."

"[the Vicar] refused permission for business meetings to be held if he were not present. ....... On August 28th, 1877, it was unanimously resolved at the last meeting to be held at the Christ Church schools 'that we alter the name of the Club from Christ Church to Bolton Wanderers'."

Percy M Young : Bolton Wanderers' : 1962

We must be the only football club around who wants to ditch the earliest part of its history. Woeful !

I must admit that I do find that aspect strange - most clubs go through a name change at one point or another but always trace back to the original date of formation?

But didn't the club celebrate it's centenary in 1977?

Reminds me of the nawty 1980s, early 90s and so it ties in nicely with the rise of FV again ;)

Snap.

Although a decade of hammering the bronzer has faded mine a little!

What will all them mugs do now who had them shit ribbons done?

Why have we changed the badge?

An don't say because the old one was shit

It has to be the #1 reason though

Think we changed it last time when back in the PL and some marketer thought the other one would help us develop our brand or some other shit like that

Guessing they've reassessed and decided it makes no difference and most fans would be happy with the change, which helps sway public opinion and may bring some back who we lost when we dropped out the PL

Dunno

Maybe

The fact it was shit still seems more likely but I've not come across one person who thinks it looks shit like I didn't come across anyone who thought the last one looked good

What will all them mugs do now who had them shit ribbons done?

I know a few who have had it done.
