The Moaners

Right, let's fucking clear this up here shall we?

There are people who will go to the match and be moaning 10 minutes in, even if we're beating Barcelona 49-0 at that point.

The truth is, a small section of the fanbase pay their money to treat the matchday experience as a pressure valve to release a weeks worth of pent up anger that has formed in their personal lives.

I'm probably with the majority, in that I can often see things aren't ideal on the pitch, but I'm happy enough just leaving the moaning as something to discuss over a pint. The fact is that it's nothing more than a chance to mock millionaires who can be a bit shit at football.

What I don't understand, are the people who take their whining to an almost pathological level. In the stands, at work, on the forums - there they are, faces redder than my arsehole on a Sunday morning, spitting vitriol about these millionaires like it's the end of the fucking world. It's not, it's a game of football, lads.

So, my theory is that these people have very shit lives beyond the football. That's fine, be shit, have an overbearing wife, have a turgid job. But don't get upset when people on forums refuse to get so worked up that they are on the verge of a heart attack. Calm down - if you are such a hardcore supporter of the club, act like one. Support them. As you would say, you'll be there regardless so just accept that times will be hard and try and enjoy yourselves. Otherwise, you sound like complete fucking retards.

There would be something seriously wrong if we didn't have uber-moaners on here, or at the ground. It's all down to the pain thresholds of the moaners, who obviously have a low one, and the listeners. Mine is high so It's water of a ducks back when it comes to the moaners. But, we need them miserable bastards to keep the universe in balance.

He is. Don't believe everything you read in the papers.

do fuck off back to burnden aces you tedious wanker

That's it you see, you can't open a thread about moaners without people moaning about it. Even Dids is moaning about moaners. Can I just say that I'm happy with Sra. Kerr, I love my job, would have made a great teacher and up to now the ticket office are top notch. Mind you my ST has not arrived yet.

I'm happy with pre-season preparations and I'm looking forward to the new season.

I'm with Juan on this. Having just done a mental spreadsheet of positives & negatives,  the negative list in my life is so small currently that any "moans" and we all have them, aren't really that important.

Maybe, as has been said, 'over-moaning' about everything & anything is a by-product of having an unhappy life.

There are some right miserable cunts on here, though.

Some of them are so bad, they even make me look happy.

Got to admit the team as had a shit per-season which means the moaners have had an epic per-season, they are now fully fit, foaming at the mouth to have to go at the team, management, the ticket office or whatever or who every they presume are shit …. Roll on Saturday  … let the fun begin

Lost interest at the ludicrous suggestion Davies would pay the appearance fee for a friendly against Barcelona.

Some would moan about this:

Cheers me up no end when i'm down.

So if you've lost interest, shouldn't you be on a 'Winners' forum?

Why are you still here?

My theory for what it's worth, is that we're not a small enough club to just be content with the occasional promotion but we're not a big enough club to actively challenge for anything more. We're stuck in the middle. Hence the frustration and consequently, the moaning.
