Every football match or public event I've worked in the last year I've had some moron tell me that I killed Liverpool fans.  The fact I'm 28 years old and work for GMP not SYP doesn't appear to matter

Well yeah, it can. There was no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late. This means a couple of things really.   - The fans didn't conspire to arrive late. Whoopy do. They didn't conspire to

still happens, sort of

was chatting to a Cardiff fan at a wedding at the weekend

he went to West Ham away on opening day, they sold their full allocation and a couple of extra thousand went along to try and get in - the tickets were them scan yourself ones and the entrances weren't policed well so it was a free for all with 2 going through at a time

said in the stand was full with people filling up the stairways and squeexzing in where they could, the stairwells were the worst as they ain't that big and when folk couldn't get down the aisles to the seats it got backed up under the stand where everyone was trying to get up into the stands

and the police and WHU stewards did nowt, there was only Cardiff's stewards trying to do owt about it

And if someone had died at that game Zico who would we blame?

For me it's the ticketless fans.

Also, just to enrage a few

Liverpool are holding a minutes applause this weekend to mark 100 years since the day Bill Shankly was born.

What the fuck is that all about!

The same Bill Shankly that was banned from the club, once he quit!

The Met, of course.

anyone else in the universe apart from the fucking scousers

well I say both, the police knowingly did nowt

of course all this is based on 1 fan's account who might have been pissed, I questioned the numbers, 2000 extra fans seemed excessive

but if fans are getting in the ground without tickets, the police and stewards are also to blame for letting it happen

because again, like with the scousers, if you can get away with it, you will and most of us probably would try it

But ultimately it is the fans fault. He's doing the initial 'wrong'

If I rob from a shop and the security guard doesn't chase me who's to blame.

Me because I initially chose to rob in the first place?

The security guard for being a fat knacker?

The shop for employing a fat knacker?

Who would be prosecuted in this scenario?

Bit of a shit analogy but you get the drift.

You broke the law in step 1.

yeah but the security guard should've chased you and should be reprimanded for not doing his job properly

by now the thief has long gone so you can't do anything about catching them

but you can do what you have to do to make sure the security guard does his job properly and takes responsibility for his actions and doesn't try blaming it on anyone else

I am also well aware of the thief's role in all this, but the security guard is employed for a reason, as there's always thieves trying to rob stuff

OK Zico, but what if the thief, whilst running out of the store, hits a stack of baked bean cans which fall and kill him?

Would that be the fault of the thief or the store owner?

Or the security guard for not stopping him before he caused the problem?

THAT is a better analogy.

Self scan iis inviting problems, so WHU in the dock for starters.

Plus all those who chose to take advantage, including those with tickets who helped another through.

That is utter fucking bollocks.

Malc, stick to the stats, mate.

No it's not!

It's totally predicable that it will lead to free entry and so the stewarding/policing needs to be vigilant to limit the scale..

Cardiff may or may not be an obvious case, but they are certainly a known difficult set of fans, and were filled with enthusiasm for their new status.

People abusing the system are at fault.

Its a terrible analogy

The one theif is arguably responsible as a result of their own actions

One person, one death

What if an innocent child is running and hits the same beans with the same outcome

and its not the security's job to make sure only people who are going to buy things go in the shop

Im quite aware of the cause and effect and pre report I felt they were more responsible than they were proven to be, so half baked analogies aren't needed to cross examine

Fact is the police had a responsibility to all fans to make sure only those with tickets got in and they didnt do that

All these analogys and not one mention if diddles mum buying a twix?

Standards are slipping gents.

If Diddles mum steals a twix and gives it to Diddles without realising the Twix has been poisoned and then Diddles dies...

...who is to blame?
