As you drive up Beaumont Rd and reach the top where it meets Chorley New there is a field opposite with a steep hill and a solitary oak tree. I flipping love that tree. Might even have my ashes scattered there! Not even lying, this is my favourite tree too. I was going to post but thought it sounded a bit gay. I'll admit it now you have!
August 16, 201313 yr I had a favourite tree to climb when i was a kid, it was on th'owd railway down Lever Edge. I erected the best rope swing in Great Lever in 1989 from its very branches.

August 16, 201313 yr There used to be a tree on Moss Bank Park, near Barrow Bridge Road end - it stooped to the floor and you could climb onto one of the branches and walk along it... It was there all my life since being a little kid, anyhow, was up there this Summer for the first time in ages and was gutted to see they've chopped it down. High Noon in the Brooklyn is now my top tree, I'd also like to try Ibogaine at some point and will report back if it's any good. There's a good conker tree standing alone on Canon Slade levels too.

August 17, 201313 yr nowt more English than a yew tree. think it was used on the inside of long bows as its compression properties are good. most old english churchyards have em but they pre date christianity as most of these churches were built on the sites of older sites of other worship. this getting up at 5:30am on saturdays gets me thinking. not natural. yew is ace though.
