Horse Chestnut tree for me, had one in my dads garden when it was just a little twig in the 50s, grew like mad though and started knocking conker's out, started blocking out the sunlight and had it cut down, I don't think you can get away with that now.

I sometimes walk in to Leigh town centre along the tree lined Holden Rd, and all the pavements are going out off shape.

There's a massive monkey puzzle opposite my house and one round the corner. They're pretty impressive specimens

I had a magnificent monkey puzzle tree im my previous house. Got to be my favourite.

Favourite at my present property are the damsons but only because I make wine with the fruit.

In fact I've thought of a sensible answer. As you drive up Beaumont Rd and reach the top where it meets Chorley New there is a field opposite with a steep hill and a solitary oak tree. I flipping love that tree. Might even have my ashes scattered there!
