Youri McAnespie
Ah yes, the wise words of Billy Bragg - currently holed up in his modest Essex home (pictured below) after refusing to pay his income tax because the Government gave Fred Dineage and the RBS lot massive bonuses. mickbrown
Like I'm arsed. It's a quality line, make no mistake but he does say 'used to'. Maybe the fanny has mellowed He lives in Dorset by the way, in an equally impressive pile, right on the beach. But he wrote 'Tank Park Salute" and 'Levi Stubbs Tears' so the fella can live where the fuck he likes. Youri McAnespie
I've told you, he lives here, he's boxed clever in recent years and reigned in his early boastfulness and replaced his original signpost with a wrought iron postbox. This is the same house pictured shortly after the Bragg-art first moved in.

Not in Crawley
Tickets can be got for a fiver all throughout the proms season. It's one of the most affordable ways to watch world class musicians performing.

Yes, but it's or toffs called Tarquin and so normal folk wouldn't want to be there Apparently I bet you're in a proper class war v culture vulture quandary
Not in Crawley
Nah, been to proms in the park a few times, it's a pretty diverse mix. Did get very drunk one year and started Bolton chants with my Dad which didn't go down too well with certain folk!
Youri McAnespie
Going to cultural stuff is quite good if you're a dyed in the wool 'down with the people' lover of the common man who'd never turn their back on their brethren It's a way of advocating/endorsing/enjoying separatism (without being a Hypocrite ) and it's not that expensive, but some of the, ahem, less desirables, simply wouldn't want to go, regardless of expense. The nouveau-riche and, erm...riche, that are attracted to this stuff are normally the easy-going type too. Well, that's what I've been told, by some erm, 'class-traitor' acquaintance... Youri McAnespie
I'd quite like to smash the State, but I'd quite happily see whoever put that turf on Churchill's head hung on traitors' gate. That Banksy, who profited from said heinous action could be strung up too - in fact, anyone who likes Banksy would be next for the chop in my campaign of New Socialism... Next on the agenda would be...(starts practising eye popping ranting an' raving with arm gestures)
