U21's Vs T'roverrrrrs

Just gone 1-0 up, really well worked goal from Zach Clough, some classy build up.

No Lonergan, Vela, Odelusi but Youngs and Hayden White are playing. Knight on the bench.

First win. The season starts here.

Has Clough been injured?

Not heard anything about him this season, usually scores quite a few

Think I will just follow under 21s now - glory hunter

Not seen this Zach Clough but seems to always do the business, can anyone comment on what type of player he is etc.

He's a striker.

Looked good tonight the kids, especially Andy Kellet, reads the game well and is quality on the ball, best player on the pitch for me.

Clough looks a good one too, bit of Michael Owen about him. Tom Youngs also looks a good prospect, is he the kid who came on and did well at Tranmere?

Bolger looked solid again, would like to see him tested against better opposition but he's always talking and organising.

Again though some of our fans are fuckin annoying, young lad had only just came on (Ariyibi?) made a mistake and people jumping down his throat and winging. These are the sort of games the kids have got to be allowed to try things and if they make a mistake so what, it's how they learn. Last we need is the players to scared to try anything for fear of being hounded.

or...school of hard knocks and a decent training ground?

Reminds me of David Speedie for some reason. Smallish but quite quick and good composure in the box.

Can't see him ever being a one up striker however.

Is this the basis of our league-1 (2?) side in about 3 years then ?

Ruth was peddling programmes for 20p before match. Fair play t'woman.

First victory for any of our over 16s teams this season?

Onwards and upwards.

That is one hell of a depressing statistic - out of how many games?

Said in't BEN today that David Lee's team has lost five on the spin

Twenty!

Always does seem to do well, hes very quick! Often left outnumbered as he doesnt get much support from the winger (usually Odelusi).

Bizarre that he hasn't kicked on.

Thought when Blakeman left that it would allow Kellett the time and space to push into the first team. I know he was on the bench the other night but I'd like to think he'll get a game in our single FA Cup match this season.

known andrew for years and always thought his size would count against him

Yoof playing tonight.

I'm in.

Left back?

If Lonergan plays for u21's tonight then this is bad. Means were stuck with Shaggy for Blackpool

I've no real problem with that.

DF sees him as number 1 and he's backing him publicly by picking him.

If he drops him, it'll completely fuck the lad's confidence. Yes, he made a mistake, but he'd already made a couple of decent saves to keep us in the game.

Lonergan never plays for the stiffs anyhows

Iv defended him time after time. Then it got to the point where I was sticking up for him so often that I no longer had an argument.

Il back whoever we play but dont think a change would do any harm.

I don't disagree, but dropping him tomorrow suggests that it's down to that mistake, which would be harsh.
