THE Riverside will be a sea of colour against Bolton on Saturday as Boro fans wave thousands of "Karanka-chiefs" to welcome the club's new Head Coach to his first home match.

 

Six thousand of the 30 inch square red neckerchiefs, or panuelos, will be distributed to fans in the North Stand and North-East Corner to greet the arrival of Aitor Karanka.

Fans will find them laid out on their seats and will be asked to wave them when Aitor emerges from the tunnel before kick-off. Instructions will be given on the big screen.

 

"We aim to give Aitor a big Teesside welcome with our Karanka-chiefs," says Head of Supporter Services Anthony Emmerson.
