Dougie Wants To Know

Why we can't get the support at home like we do away

Featured Replies

Been done to death.

Try it, see how long before youre escorted out.

If I wasn't so sure he or his fruit loop mates would belt me one, I'd be all for telling the angry negative fucker at the back of the nsl to shut it.

I'm guessing folk like him don't do the away days as they know they'd get told to fuck off. But are safe in the knowledge that folk in the nsl are very unlikely to tell em.

Also Dougie needs to ask Rod why the atmosphere never picks up.

We were that good yesterday (the support) that we absolutely ruined Almunia mentally

Whatever Zola will claim, that's why he went off

12th man yesterday no doubt. We played a blinder

For a home cup game folk should buy tickets for the North stand & go on the lash in town from 9am to create a virtual away day.

IAMIN.

You would be tucked up in bed before midday.

But what a 3 hours they will be :)

He's right.

I have to admit that, while I don't sit through the match complaining at the top of my voice, I probably don't offer much by way of encouragement either. If every one person ups his or her game the atmosphere can only get better. It'll be even more important after Xmas with four home Lancs derby matches between Jan and May.

I don't want to play bestest fan but think we dont do a bad job round our section

From a watford fan

They made some good noise today but unfortunately 90% of their singing were songs about Almunia, their team worked hard today and deserved a bit more praise from their fans

You'd have plod stopping you getting on the train and serving you with a banning order before you could say "eyes righ...."

I find I complain/whinge a lot more at home than when i go away. Probably because I drive to home games and am therefore sober and grumpy as opposed to pissed and merry at away games

My point being: the club should lay on booze and a chauffeur for me to improve the atmosphere

Or build a ground in bolton where we can then hit the pubs in town before walking down the manny road

They might not be good pubs, but there's ample opportunity to get pissed near to the ground.

The problem with home games is that many Bolton-based supporters will drink in their local before a game, fragmenting the support across the town.

This means there's no focal point, like there is away from home.

This means there's no focal point, like there is away from home.

So we need a Wetherspoons, Yates', Walkabout or Molloys near the ground for the focal point.

Only places Bolton fans drink away from home so lets bring 'em to the Reebok.

home games for many aren't a day on the piss, or more to the point, a one off piss up

away games are often days out/weekends away on the piss for most in the away end

that's why

Yes because when we had a ground in Bolton and people did just that, the atmosphere was always electric.
