Start same 11 for me as well, great to see us attack someone, the defence worried me although lonergan made some great saves. Medo was class today

I think we'll see some changes

but you know better because your thousands of miles away and can read a game like sir Alf Ramsey just by listening on the radio.

Seriously, go fuck yourself with a red-hot poker, you miserable cunt.

DF post match said we played that way because of how he'd seen Blackpool play. I reckon he should fuck it and play like that every home game.

I don't know why he insists on overcomplicating things. If you let the players off the leash, we'd have more than enough to steamroller most teams in this league, particularly at home.

Thought Danns played pretty well too, meself. Nice to see Chungy actually having a shot rather than bottling it and passing.

first 20 mins the game should have been over.

let them back in and the last 30mins,m the donkey lashers were the best team

ince was the best player on the park , why freedman couldn't put someone on him is again a question on his tactics.

lonergan was our mom without doubt.

Ince?!

Baptiste did well against him 1 on 1 and hen he squeezed him inside he often had to go sideways as Medo was sweeping in front of the defence

He's a nice player but we did well against him today. Very well

N'Gog caused them twice as much bother. They just couldn't get it off him

I put it to you that they started looking dangerous before that, probably with Moritz tiring in the middle and them just needing to get back into it. IMO going to a more defensive position isn't such a bad thing when the opposition are chasing the game.

Makes conmon sense Snoopy but it did invite them onto us deeper into our half and retention was worse

There's a school of thought to say that's even more dangerous

Which I subscribe to :)

Aye let's bring back the table tennis too

I thought ince was poor until the last 10 mins.

If he was ours, folk would be moaning that he kept coming inside.

20 years ago this would have been a sell out.

Since then the Football Association have completely down graded the best tournament in world football by allowing the munichs to pull out for a tin pot world trophy; this was followed by playing semi finals at Wembley so the final is now not special. The ultimate disgrace was playing the final at the same day as other games and before the end of the season. Tossers the lot of them

Now non league Wigan winning the cup - fucking joke

Looks like not everyone agrees with you.

Sheff United beating villa - took 6000 apparently

I  thought Ream had the measure of Ince, he certainly didn't go outside him. It was really good to see the breakaway for the winner, well set up and taken.

That fucker Moritz has been on the Pringles and Milk Tray over Christmas, he has a nice touch but he has only 3rd gear. if we are to play 442 at home, the wingers have to chase back a bit more than Moritz and Eagles did. Danns and Medo were excellent however we could quite easily have lost today.

Move on, take the win and hope for a decent draw.

Ince spent the vast majority of the game in their left

Nowhere near Ream

Lonergan was very good

Good result - great to be in the next round. Great opening half-hour, but I do worry the way we lose energy & concentration as the match wears on. And the defence is still a worry. Nice to see N'gog & Beckford combining & making runs up front - wasn't sure they could work together. Medo & Danns did a lot of work, but gave the ball away more later on. Lonergan worried me staying on his line at times, but made some great saves 2nd half. The others played OK and more of a team effort for a change. Nice to see 10,000 of us home fans bothered to turn up - fair play to the club for reducing prices.

Mounts, you should know better. You're not allowed to have a go back at those who criticise our own fans just as you're not allowed to criticise anything about the club on or off the pitch. Anyone would think this is a forum for exchanging opinions (rather than personal insults), but clearly it's not.

You could have included Spider in that. He seems to have spent the match posting on here instead of paying attention to the match, which I assume he was at given his attack on our 'whinging' fans not being there.

=@

Lonergan was very good

His best performance for me

He held what he needed to and the shot stopping overall was excellent

Don't be such a girl. You are old enough and big enough to post what you think & stand by it, sod what anyone on here says.

At long last, come home having enjoyed it. Two up front was enough to worry their average defenders enough for them to make mistakes and give us the ball back with regularity, as would be the case with most of the teams we've played at home this season. That first half an hour was the best by far this season and with better decision making and finishing we'd have been out of sight. Energetic and entertaining, and we looked like we ought to be, a good bit better than a team like Blackpool, who only have one decent player. Baptiste did well against him by the way, no surprise he was switched and was more effective against Ream, the balls he put in from that side caused us no end of trouble. Medo was a big improvement on Spearing, if only for him not being afraid to be on the ball in tight situations and not panic and wave his arms about when he can't see a pass within two seconds of receiving a ball. Eagles worked hard and put in a good display, as did Lonergan 2nd half.

As has been said already, better going forward, no worse at the back. Only served to make it even more frustrating that DF has buggered about with tactical sparring and counter-attacking for half the season at home against most of the bottom six in the Division. This team today would have leathered them all, not limped to a load of mind-numbing draws.

Lasting thought was what to make of Ngog, possibly the most frustrating individual I've ever seen at our club. Anything like that even most weeks and he'd score 15 goals in this league and cause as many more

Good synopsis, I'm hoping for more of the same against Forest a return to our normal set up and another defeat beckons.

Ngog showed today that he still thinks like a Premiership player with some of his touches. Think he's playing for a move. Some chance if DF keeps him on the bench

shame it needs saying

"Think he's playing for a move"

That was more or less what was said today by a few, he can join the list of the useless overpaid foreigners. Good riddance.

Could be playing for a new contract, maybe the pennies dropped he ain't going to get a better deal anywhere than his current deal, play like that and I'd be happy to re-sign him but on reduced wages with bonus based on goals.
