I'd love him to do the business but there are no signs that he is learning from his mistakes. Just heard him on the radio saying we are making enough chances but not taking them. Surely they all can't be that bad in front of goal - coaching has to take some responsibility?

I was quite surprised to see someone suggest I don't support Bolton though. Last I looked, Dougie was the Bolton manager and being a supporter means supporting the club, the management included.

 

Of course, these posts coming from people posting online during the game suggests they weren't really supporting today anyways.

He doesn't have the money to go and buy anybody, that's abundantly clear. Swapping Managers won't change that, it'll make it worse.

 

That's not to say Freedman's not got serious question marks hanging over him at the moment.

 

4 out of next 5 games are at home. Freedman just been on GMR to say that while he's not happy, he's not worried, but that will change if we dont pick up points during those games. That's about where I'm at. Pick up points in this next month and I'll be convinced the long term plan is still working, perform badly and He'll be shown the door.

 

I can totally understand people being angry and frustrated, can understand people calling for his head, but I still don't think it's the sensible move long term.

 

Sure most will disagree, but that's football - all about opinions.

Yes - with the hope that the chairman & manager & players at any given time will be good for the club and with full backing unless & until they prove themselves not good enough. Then the interests of the club come first. As with any other football club, or don't you notice.

Not everyone can get to Ipswich on a cold wet February day, but they can still comment on club matters. Thought you for one would understand that.

Can we not just recall Sordell if he starts scoring for Charlton? He could conceivably keep them up at our expense.

Went out for a walk to cool off. Came back to see that normal service, apart from the comment about me not being a Bolton fan, was resumed.

 

We lost 1-0 today to a penalty which came about via a bad decision from the goalkeeper, against a team that currently is 7th in the table. If you look (irrespective of club names) at a team in 18th losing 1-0 to a penalty kick against a team in 7th, nobody would bat an eyelid. We lost 2-1 to the team in 2nd last week, again nothing short of what was expected before the game. Of course, if you take into account that some people have this delusion that we should be challenging for promotion, then obviously people are disappointed (and before anybody quotes the whole "2nd favourites for promotion", remember that Wolves were last season too... bookies don't always get it right).

 

I will back Bolton til the day I day, and when I'm in England I go to every game I can (sometimes at the expense of missing my flight back to the US). Doesn't change the fact that we are not as good as so many on here think we are. We are now 20th. I dare say that's lower than we should be but I honestly see us as a mid-table team in this championship. We went on a bloody good run last season but I'd say we finished higher than we deserved on our season-wide showing.

 

I can see Dougie getting fired, and that makes me sad. I genuinely think he's got a plan in place for the next 2-3 seasons, and I genuinely think that plan has contingencies in case we do end up getting relegated. But really... what's the difference between Championship and League 1 (apart from the chance of getting promoted to the Premier League)? As long as we are financially stable I couldn't care less who we're playing against.

Snoop it's not just the results, like many I live within spitting distance of the ground and work in and around the town so can feel the mood of the others fans. Everyone is sick if feeling like shit on a Monday morning, not a single person I speak to feels any optimism and those of us who try to get the stay always to come back have now run out of reasons.

 

As Bolton fans we can put up with being mid table or in are legation scrap but not in the way DF is doing it. I can't not see any green shoots in this bunch.

I am struggling but I want to see him shape his own squad in the summer and then judge saving our arse with a stop gap might keep us up but stunt our chances in coming seasons id risk keeping him but if we did pot him there can't be many complaints and I think we're in real danger of going down real danger but I don't think a change of manager would affect that

Ok bottom 3 are no nearer but they have games in hand and we have a lot of the teams around us away from home. Things are looking very dodgy

Mark my words Craig Davies will be recalled the plank shouldn't of let him go in the first place yet again astounding arrogance given our precarious position it's almost as though he does not believe we're in a relegation fight.
