no balls Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 She reckons it saved her life. How much ale had she supped? I reckon if notice if a dog was eating my head Anyhow, a cat would just have left her, selfish fucker. Spaznob is right though, they're just completely different types of pet. Dogs are hard work as they sulk when you go out, cats probably don't give a shit and get their mates round to play cards or something like that Quote

A bit of a drastic way to quit the drink tho' - let a Rhodesian Ridgeback eat your eyes, I don't think AA will incorporate it as the 13th step. That frenchwoman who had the first face transplant around twelve years ago - she'd had her face chewed off by her dog too. In both these cases the victim was only unconscious briefly, and the dogs were well looked after (or at least not starving or neglected). So much for man's (or woman's) best friend eh? At least you'd expect a cat would slit your throat for a shilling - given half a chance. Edited January 13, 2014 by Youri McAnespie Quote
no balls Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Mine's a fussy eater and age knows where her food is so I'd hope she'd just give me a gentle paw to wake me after a bad sesh. Quote
JD74 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 haha. I'm a real soft cunt when it comes to pretty much all animals. Hate it when I'm on the motorway and a lorry is alongside me full of sheep on their way to the slaughterhouse. I can't bring myself to look any of them in the eye. I'm exactly the same, can't even watch RSPCA adverts without getting a tear in my eye! Cats are ace and I wouldn't be without my 2. Quote
tarian1979 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Me and cats dont mix. If i spend a few hours in a house of a cat owner guarantee i'll be wehhezing and struggling to sleep (because of the wheezing) that night Quote
bolty58 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Sprinkle pepper where they shit. Owd remedy and works. Quote
Garrp Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I've never understood why folk feel the need to compare cats with dogs. I love them both, but they're completely different. Dogs are much more our friend, but they're also needy as fuck because of this. Cats are also our friends, albeit on their terms. Dogs need constant attention and if you leave them for more than a few hours then you feel guilty as fuck, whereas cats don't give a fuck. They'll happily just go about doing what they've got to do. Bollocks, I've just compared them! I agree with all that serious question, is there link between which you prefer? don't get me wrong I had both all my life growing up and liked both but I honestly wouldn't get a dog now if you paid me for the reasons you stated on the other hand, as soon as I get a house, il be getting a cat for sure, again because of the reasons you stated. is it because im a selfish twat and probably more independent than I should be? likewise is there a link to those that prefer dogs? maybe they like looking after people? im curious Quote
bolton_blondie Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 My cat hates everybody. Even us most of the time! Little fucker just uses us for whiskers and body heat. I'm sure he's plotting to kill me. He gives me that 'look' Quote

When I was with the ex we had two cats. We'd have both loved a dog but because we were out of the house so much it would've been unfair to have a dog couped up on it's own all the time. With the cats it was always just a case of feeding them in the morning and then let them come and go out of the cat flap all day as they pleased. At night they loved being in the living room and were good company. That last sentence will probably be sneered at by the anti-cat brigade, but those who've had cats will know they're all different and have their own personalities ... rather than just the feral, nasty vermin that the 'haters' perceive them to be. So, to all you cat haters. Dog owners smell of dog more than cat owners smell of cat. Cats don't hump your leg. Cats don't destroy your house and I've never heard of a cat mauling a child to death. Stick that up your jumpers! Quote
Sweep Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I don't mind cats, but Mrs CWP hates them. We would both like a dog, but we're not at home enough really. Maybe when I retire I'll get a dog.... Quote
Traf Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Maybe when I retire I'll get a dog.... That's what I've done. "Working from home" is as close to retirement as it gets. Quote

Traf Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Has Matt sold the site yet? Not as far as I know. Obviously nothing was going to happen over Christmas and New year and then on the 4th Jan he went to Tenerife for 10 days. He's got two fairly interested buyers willing to pay round the £100k mark, but we'll see what happens. #notreallyarsed Quote
anewman Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 All cats should be extinct, horrible creatures Quote
