Poor Child Rip

Have you seen those two queers that kept a lion in a shop in London? One day a TV wildlife person came in and they got their help in releasing it into the wild.

Then a few years later they went to Africa and went looking for it. It was fucking huge, came over and cuddled them. Tears...

Agree with this.    I'll make a deal with all dog owners. I won't let my children jump up on you, slaver on you, take them to places unsuitable for them or leave their shit on the ground.   In tur

It would have made a better story if it had ripped them to shreds.

I love that video but could do without the schmaltzy music

Big dogs and small children is a bad mix.

I love that video, especially when Christian the lion recognises them and comes bounding over. Gets me every time.

And there's plenty of them about

So maybe we should be a bit more strict on who we allow to own dangerous animals?

Or be more strict on who is allowed to own any animal and have a child.

The dog wasn't owned by the mother though, it was the bloke she was shaggjng.

and there we have it

compulsary sterilisation til you prove your fit to have kids

CWP was trying to invent a no breeding tablet young ladies could take that'd have an antidote once they'd developed into fine women.

Not sure how he's getting with that.

thinly veiled "after meeting him women DONT want to breed"?

We are strict with this particular type of dog, the breed is banned

Absolutely tragic.

It sounds like this family was far from being a 'scrotey' family, and the breed is not is banned breed.

... but once again folk are leaving big, powerful animals alone with defenceless babies.  When will they learn?!

It only takes one time, one single fucking time for a dog like that to attack a baby and it's curtains.

I cannot begin to imagine the grief and the guilt they will have to live with for the rest of their lives.

I think this line tells you all you need to know "Sharon had the Husky-like Alaskan Malamute called Nisha after her partner Patric Mullane, 33, brought it home from a night out at the pub".

Some wise lady today said on Jezzer Vine's show, would you leave a hot iron near a crawling baby?

This is the key thing.

An Alaskan Malamute is one of the "wildest" breeds of dogs available. It is literally one-step from being a full-blown wolf.

I would only own one of these dogs if I was a single guy living on my own. These dogs require 100% Alpha-Male dominance from the owner, and even then they'll try and Alpha-Male anyone else they come across.

Leaving a baby alone with one is just mental.

This is a variation on the same breed... (this is a Giant Alaskan Malamute)

You're not wrong Snoop.

Their owners club describe them as loving and loyal.

Aye, to their owner (pack leader) certainly... not to a baby/infant who is new to their pack.

If the kids are around when you bring the pup home, then you'll be fine.

Introduce a new baby into a pack environment and you'll have issues.

What most people don't realise is that owning a dog of this kind is a lifestyle choice, not just a pet. You can't just push it to one side when a new member of the family comes along.

If the kids are around when you bring the pup home, then you'll be fine.

More likely to be fine, yes.

... but it should never ever be taken for granted.

Have a big, powerful, seemingly friendly and obedient dog by all means OR have a baby.

One or the other in my book.

Like I posted, we have a dog that should be proper docile but he's got a hellish grip and very sharp teeth

He'd make a proper mess of a 6 day old baby

I'm trying real hard not to be judgemental but good lord, you really do wonder

Mine is half westie. Have you seen what they do to rabbits and squirrels? Luckily I've never seen mine but that's not the point.

I read if a dog hears an animal crying their instinct can kick in. Why risk this?

My non judgemental side wonders if these parents simply don't understand what a dog can do rather than being utterly stupid

I'd like to think that too, but it's too regular - you think after the first couple in the papers that the parents would think "Hmm. I'll just make sure our primal killing machine can't get access to the baby when we're not around".

For the first time in the history of planet earth, snoop speaks sense here.
