My season ticket also ensures I don't have to fanny about, gives me priority on away tickets, the 2 tickets for a tenner means I can bring friends & family members along cheaply when they can't afford or commit to every game, which in turn brings them along occasionally to other games, it also gives the match at a very good price compared to others if not all other clubs.

We, the football fan are no longer seen as a part of the club, by the club.  We're a source of income.  Football, for the clubs, is all about money.  Someone will no doubt pipe up and say it always has been, but IMO it is more the case than it ever has been before ... and I can't see it changing any time soon.

Now that makes a sensible argument, if people are just bothering with £10 tickets, instead of season tickets then the club are shooting themselves in the foot. Personally I'd prefer to pay the extra £6.92 to not sit in the NSU.

 

Don't forget the £10 offer is supposed to benefit the clubs of the local community, Wanderers only get £6 if I remember & it's a national initiative, it'd be a shame if it gets abused but so be it. If it brings dads & lads in at an affordable level, whilst supporting their own kids clubs financially, then carry on with it.

 

At £304 (£13.22 per game) I think that's still relatively good value.

 

£390 (£16.92) is equally good, I recently watched Halifax @£17 for terracing in non-league.

 

£62 (£2.70) for my Nephew, the future support you've mentioned, is excellent value. Even if it was £11 (0.48) last season.

 

The cheapest away will be £20 at Yeovil, then you've got Leeds at £34. When you compare those prices to a season ticket, it's still good value.

 

The one thing that does piss me off, a little, is upgrading a kids ticket to an adult is full price minus the kids ST price, surely that should be adult ST price minus the kids.

 

Oh, and where I sit is classed as a wing seat & cheaper for match day price but not ST price, how does that work?

JFTR, if you've missed 5 games this season, it's still only £20.50 per game.

 

Years ago at Burnden, I didn't get a ST for a few years as I couldn't guarantee not working on Saturdays, if I remember correctly, your ST only saved you about 3 games from gate price so a ST didn't make sense if I missed more, now it's about 8 games saving on gate price.

 

I could be mistaken though, anyone else remember?

 

Could the ST be cheaper? Definitely, I'd be happy for it to be too, hopefully it should also drive bums on seats too, which is the main thing surely? If that's what you meant, then I agree, as I've already mentioned, I pointed this out loosely last year if you want to search back.

 

All I am saying though, is if the club want to choose the current price point, I think the ST offering is probably about right, the April timing definitely isn't, though I'm guessing that has something to do with the financial year

The ongoing push to try and move the more vocal supporters to the North Lower (away from the away fans) carries on apace. Have they not learned by now after all that 'singing stand' bollocks? Fans who want to sing like being near the away fans as it makes for a better atmosphere

 

Essentially they're trying to save the police/stewards from having to do their fucking job. Same reason they no longer put away fans in the lower tier, east side which has helped kill the atmosphere stone dead at most matches. Mission accomplished for them.

What happens if by some chance we have a great season and crowds inevitably rise the 18 x £10 games the club reduce to 12 games and then it's 10 games at £25. The messing about getting cheap tickets is a ball ache, I swapped my ESL ticket for Nortn lower a few seasons back couldn't see bugger all soon moved back to ESL. I will probably be out of the country for 4-5 games next season but will renew as I want to contribute my little bit and don't want to lose a great seat. I can see why people are pissed off but if the product was good on the pitch doubt anyone would moan.
