Bolton don't seem to realise it is not only the season ticket money they lose, its the over priced ale and pie revenue as well.

The overall gate receipts are only a fraction.

As Nobster points out, you have the pies, pints, programmes.

But the other revenue streams are the big hitters:- hospitality / fan zone / hotel / events eg darts, merchandise weddings etc

 

The actual money through the gate for say tomorrow, wont even pay everyones wages for the week.

So would a 1,000 drop in attendance, really cause too much harm ?

 

Suppose the big thing is the away followings. In this division, Leeds, Sheff Wed, Burnley, Blackburn, Blackpool, Wigan, Huddersfield, Forest, Leicester etc generate decent income. Not sure the likes of MK Dons, Orient, Gillingham etc etc will.

Forest didn't bring many, even Wednesday by their standards. Depending on who comes up, you could be looking at Wolves and Preston bringing a few, and then Bradford, Coventry, Sheff Utd are all capable of taking thousands on the right day. Might be going a bit far to hope Fleetwood go up though.

You would be suprised on some teams support looking at league 1 table 2 from wolves,brentford and orient then play offs is wide open points wise,also depending on time of year etc some clubs Have not played at reebok so may suprise with turn outs

They are revamping NSL, Whatever that means.

Renew before 6th April - not happening.

 

Paying more because I didn't renew before 6th April - also not happening.

 

That means I'm out. I'll probably pick and choose my games instead.

 

Also what is up with that pricing grid? American style dates "April 6", it's the "6th April". How much is it if you buy between 5th May and 8th June? they only have before and after prices.

 

PS.. I'm probably in, just think it's a bit shit to have incentives to renew before the end of the season.

I've just tried to renew but typical of the club, the details of prices etc are up but there is no option to renew at the moment

Just read they are having a permanent tribute to Higgy, Nice touch. 

Only going up about £15 for me in NSL so quite happy with that, will probably pay in full though so it's out of the way. Need to get a seat near mine as well as my mrs (thinly veiled) is moving to sit near us rather than paying more in WSL.

 

Like the sound of the Roadrunner videos on NSL and the tribute to DH. The "pre match DJ" probably means I will end up sticking to my current routine of staying in Scott's until 2.56pm.

That was my bug bear last season too, the fact that I'll renew regardless is irrelevant, I know there's the option of the DD but I don't want a DD, I like to pay up front & have it done with, the same with other bills like council tax. It's just how I'm wired up!

 

Like last year, I now need to stump up £450 at the time of year that other expenses also hit, as much as I'm sure there's a reason the club do it this way, I find it harsh to be penalised if I couldn't afford to pay now rather than in the summer when disposable income is better for my circumstances.

 

March & April are going to be very expensive this year as I'll be able to attend all home & aways till the end of the season (except Leeds this week). So I may need to sacrifice the odd away to pay for the ST outlay to gain the maximum discount. Why should I though?

 

I had a conversation last year with someone in July. He told me he'd been in the week before to renew, he wasn't prepared to pay the extra having missed the April deadline due to cash flow at that time of year. He informed the person at the Ticket Office that if he didn't get the April price he wouldn't be renewing, the Club were happy to give him the April price, rightly so, well done common sense.

 

They'll always be contention with individual circumstances to how the Club do the ST, however, direct dialogue will always see the best outcome for both Fan & Club, if you don't ask, you don't get.

shes still not earning and while its not the clubs fault, i'm already funding uni for her (i know they can't win, cos it is cheap for kids and it has to change at some point, but it was 11 quid last season)

From what I remember, last season they weren't available for the Blackpool last game of the season & one of the local derbies too.

 

This year I think it was the same for Burnley & I'm guessing they'll be others coming up. I normally get a call off one of lads when the £10's aren't on, to see if there's any spares.
