The workrate and willingness to get "Stuck in" was something we have not seen for ages, well last week really.

 

 

As for "Flair" Players some of the movement and passing  from Davies,Mason and so called journey man Dannes was good enough to grace any stage.

Drumming after drumming and a 3-4 weeks ago we looked totally doomed,and even the most ardent optimists were struggling.

 

We weren't unlucky or just in need of little tweeks either...we were bloody hopeless.

 

The last two results mind have been tremendous and can't fault one single thing.

 

The approach has been completely different for whatever reason,and the signings of the two lads up top a great call.

 

Danns stands out for me as he had most of the season,albeit if pratley hadn't have gone of injured last week he still probably wouldn't be featuring.

Douglas has clearly started badly. However, I would postulate that there are plenty of reasons for this which have already been done to death on here.

 

Needless to say, he now has a team of players who seem better balanced and willing to put a shift in.

 

The absence of Eagles and Lee (for the most part) seems to be one of the key factors. They are club stalwarts by comparison and possibly Freedman thought they were worth bearing with, especially given the covering options.

 

He's bolstered the team with 3 or so good players now and it certainly seems this has improved things massively.

 

I'm as baffled as anyone as to why previously solid players simply aren't performing.

 

I won't dent it's taken Freedman too long to sort it, but as I say there are a lot of reasons which may have prevented it.

Agreed, but some folk were going mental at him for letting Cravies go FFS. Or for signing people from other teams' reserves like Jukewotsit. What shite they were talking.

People were kicking off for letting Craig Davies go when we had one,yes one fit striker on the books, not because they thought he was a good player.

 

Going into games with one striker upfront with non on the bench was football suicide.

 

The signing of the juke looked completely baffling and I didn't see one person on here or elsewhere saying he was going to be the next Kevin Davies.

 

As if happens.its worked out just fine...but nobody at the time would have predicted that.

 

Lets not pretend all this has been some grand master plan.

 

The tinkering has paid off finally that's all.

Brilliant result and performance.

 

The Juke looks like he's going to be this seasons Craig Dawson. Another excellent game from him. Hope we can get him signed up.

 

Another I hope we sign up is Danns. Quality yesterday and has done pretty well in most of the games he's played.

Attack is our best form of defence and we had this game sewn up in the first half with this approach. Danns ran himself into the ground for the cause yesterday.
