  • Poor attempt at sarcasm; he is absolutely shite

  • That's where I'm at. We've got folk moaning about austerity then 177,000 people spend a fucking fortune to spend a week in a field watching Lionel Ritchie. Get in the fucking sea.

  • Ill defo watch some of it, I cant think of anything worse than actually going there though

Kids this weekend, but I'll be settling down to watch Metallica and avoiding Mogwai.

Want to see Public Service Broadcasting - really like their stuff at the moment.

Mogwai

Heard their stuff, but God knows how that can be live?

And I've stood through Radiohead doing Exit Music for a film.

Metallica - I'll not be missing that.

Kasabian could go either way - if they do a greatest hits set, could be ace, if they do their new album, will be boring

two belters from last year:

It will be hard to top Nick Cave's set last year. It's always better when you're not expecting much and they deliver something as good as that. As for Arcade Fire, Metallica and Kasabian, thank fuck the football's back on tomorrow.

One of the greatest performances ever at any Glastonbury:

Saw Mogwai at Primavera, bit boring to be fair.

Apparently one off here has decided he can't hack the camping already and has found some digs a couple of miles away.

They were ace at the Bridgewater Hall a few months back, but I can see it sounding a bit flat on a festival stage.

Fucking love it when it rains at Glasto. Cunts.

This was on the same night Holland beat the Argies in the World Cup.

Fuckin Hell id forgotten all about that song .

Loved Embrace myself through school.

I'd have thought Nick Cave was far too cheerful for COYW.

If you're into film soundtracks, you should check out the album that he and another of the Bad Seeds recorded for a film called 'The Proposition'. In fact i'd recommend the film if you haven't already seen it. Nick Cave wrote the screenplay and it's brilliant:

Went to Glastonbury in 2002 & 2003 and had glorious weather both times. One of my best memories is laying in the sun stoned to fuck watching Jimmy Cliff. It was fucking brilliant, but I doubt I'd enjoy it these days. Too many "SELFIE!! TOTES LOLZ!" type cunts about.

Same as everywhere though, had a similar one at V2000, lay there in the sun watching Joe Strummer. Now it's all chart shit.

You JCL - try back in the head days of 96, £65 a ticket from Andy's records. On sale for months and not sold out. Sensor always opened. No mobiles so you all met by the windmill and lost everyone completely.

Didn't Jules go and watch them a few weeks back?

You sir, are a fool and a charlatan currently residing in Wrongsville, Arizona.

They had a 'come back' with a song written by their best mates Coldplay which apparently did alright in about 2006 I think but not enough to cover up the fact the singer sounds like a a de-tuned duck.

A musical disgrace that were over hyped at the time because there wasn't much else happening at the time.

I was too young to go in the 90's.

My mates went down in 1990, pretended they were travellers, got in for free and kipped in their car.

I couldn't be arsed - even then I needed a real bog and a proper chair.
