He's better than Feeney

He's better than Feeney

As an individual talent? More than likely.

As a team player? I doubt it.

quite a few would say he was our best player and but for freedman he'd have been a late addition to englands world cup squad

he's currently playing for madrid barca blackpool

if he was our best player, is it any surprise we're pretty shit

Apply a similar logic to your mate Megson

FWIW I will be shocked if Eagles isn't playing at this level in a year

  • 2 months later...

Poor Chris Eagles. Douglas never offered him no respeck', innit?

http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/bolton_wanderers/11611102.Eagles___Freedman_showed_me_no_respect_on_Wanderers_exit_/

But what I don't understand is the following:

“Now I can say my piece about what happened at Bolton,” he said. “I believe Dougie Freedman was saying I was a disruptive influence and they never offered me a contract.

“They offered me a number of contracts but I felt it wasn’t worth signing. I didn’t like him and I didn’t like the way he managed."

Which one is it - did they never offer him a contract? Or did they offer him a number of contracts? Or did they do both in some way I don't understand?

presumably we offered him reduced terms

he rejected

he was frozen out

i think he's saying that we did offer him contracts but publically freedman was saying we hadnt offered anything

or something like that

either way, he's gone from 17k a week to a few carrots a week

and why has he had to keep quiet - that does have me beat

If he plays, he's guaranteed to score the winner against us.

Because the contract he wan't offered and didn't sign had a confidentially clause. HTH

i would get a slight pleasure from that if he did....as long as he took off his shirt to reveal a t-shirt saying "that one is for you tomski"

Maybe, just maybe he did it out of respect for the club and the fans. He waited until Freedman had gone

Good on him I say

he always said he would tell his story when he got a new club

nothing to do with freedman or bwfc

what do you think would happen right now if we offered Chungy a new deal and he turned he down?

we'd force him to sign it, obvs

i know where you are going and i'll give you halfa point, but slight difference is that lee is currently playing at the top of his game

eagles wasn't

alonso was played right to the death of his contract cos he was performing

kevin davies wasn't, chris eagles wasnt

It's a real shame. Had he been managed correctly he could've been the best Bolton player of a generation.

Blackpool's gain IMO.

See how he goes on there, if he does well sign him up. He's contracted to Blackpool for 8 weeks.

i didn't say what dougie did was right!

I wonder where we'd be now if Wee Lennon had been appointed with the players DF had?

He's contracted to Blackpool for 8 weeks.

Fucking hell, that's three managers.

Out of interest and say there was a finite amount of money in the wages kitty, would folk prefer to see Eidur or Eagles until the end of the season?

Eidur, Eagles is not fit to lick the shit off his boots

Player-manager by Christmas.

Tomski in the home end with tangerine eagles shirt on for Saturday I reckon now.

Not a fan, they all sound the same, bit washey.

Interesting he didn't deny being a disruptive influence and seems more concerned about contracts and I wonder if his 8 week deal is better than the contracts we offered? He did ok for us and to be fair it does sound as if dougie rattled a fair few cages coyles shit pit went considerably deeper than we knew
