Mounts, you keep saying Eddie needs to open his wallet.   All signs seem to indicate that isn't going to happen, no matter how many times people say it.   Realistically, with no financial outlay,

Don't start with this shit

Megson was sacked; not hounded out

Then we would have just have been were we now are a few seasons earlier. Tell me, which club has he or is currently transforming with his magic skills?

Are we seriously going over the whole Megson thing again  :lazy: .

Can someone set up a Megson area of the forum where people can go and drag up the past over and over and over again.

Is that a "fact"?

Leave Megson be

I'd have megson back

He's still our most successful manager in the past 7 years

I suggested MM when we potted Coyle, most lads down the pub, and on here disagreed. It was clear to see we needed experience.

From the reaction of my suggestion back then, if we got McCarthy instead of Dougie, this site would have been on meltdown and there would have been grey marl wearing protestors outside the reebok.

Now, people are saying he would have been a good appointment - hindsight is a wonderful thing that PG doesn't benefit from unfortunately.

Jules knows my thoughts on megson???? but I can't be arsed dragging that up again

What's he doing now again?

Chilling out

What's he doing now again?

Probably sat at home winding up his wife

What's he doing now again?

Less damage to Bolton than Coyle and DF

Should have potted Coyle earlier we could have then gone for Steve Bruce, now I'd go for Malky Mackay as I doubt Moyes is available. Reason being we need a good experience manager with a big strong personality in my life time that type always been successful at Bolton, Greaves, Rioch and Sam all cut from that cloth.

Moyes? Seriously. He's not tarnished that much to consider us

Someone else isn't too keen

"The two managers I really dislike are Stan Ternent and Gary Megson. The old saying that I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire applies"

Moyes? Seriously. He's not tarnished that much to consider us

We can dream.

Seriously though a top manager would sort this mess out in no time it's time to open Eddies wallet and aim for the stars the alternative is not worth thinking about. The right appointment would immediately get fans and players singing from the same hymn sheet, come on Eddie last throw of dice you know it makes sense.

And you could pay for a top manager by sending back 3 of the dross DF has brought in on loan.

We ain't getting another shot at a top manager.

It will be jimmy Phillips.

I wouldn't write off our chances of a good manager just yet it depends on Eddies decision whether to open his wallet or not. I could seeing him deciding to give it one last shot at a top manager.
