Ticket Office

Featured Replies

I know this lot take some flak, and rightly so - I rang up today so enquire about a season ticket from next Saturday onwards expecting to be cheaper now 6 home games gone - club said they are same price as start of season.

Do they just not want to sell any or is their business sense just completely non-existent??

But still show more commitment than those who don't fancy buying a season ticket even at pro rata rates so that they can stop buying match tickets if we've nowt to play for after February?

Poor form, you'd think they'd reduce it pro-rata and take whatever money they can. That is unless you paid full whack for one anyway?

In fairness though the ticket office won't be making those sorts of decisions, it'll be made by the club themselves, it's just a shame that they're the ones on the end of it.

You might be better waiting for a half season ticket and get the £10 ones until then.

That's what I thought... I bet they get a few enquiries now with the new manager etc, so pocket what they can.

What £10 ones Mounts?

Ah I see... anyone point me where I can get any of them?

Theres usually people hanging around the ticket office selling them.

Colin from Walkden whites usually advertises them on Friends of Manny road website.

Does that mean if you wanted your money back from the season tickets they give you a full refund?

I don't have any friends

because you're a cantankerous old sod!

P.S. I dont think any other club do this either. It's a full or a half.

Get fucked lofty

because you're a cantankerous old sod!

MR58 has loads of friends because he is a cantankerous old sod. He can sit in The Vulcan being cantankerous with a load of other cantankerous old sods.

Cantankerous is a great word by the way, it's going to be my word of the week along with nuisance. There were quite a few nuisances on Saturday.

Right this is bollocks.

People buy a season ticket in the summer so the club pockets the money so those people get best price.

They do a half year season ticket at Xmas you can not expect them to do one after every single game.

They are called season tickets for a reason.

Right this is bollocks.

Did you buy one?

I thought I was more diplomatic in my "don't talk with your cock hanging out" reply :)

And Harold, you have a point. Being cantankerous isn't a bad thing :)

It's probably still cheaper to buy a season ticket as well, than pay each week

If Lennon is as good as I hope he will be then ALL the value in my season ticket is in the games yet to come rather than the games gone under the auspices of Freedman. Therefore damned right it should be full whack.

Would make commercial sense to offer a 17/23rds season ticket

you reckon

then we'll have even more current STH waiting to see how each season starts

make it 19/23s and i'll vote for you

Most clubs do it on request. You'd only get it pro rata based on the same price as those who bought it on the first day of the season, so those who renewed early aren't missing out on anything, and the club gets your money in the bank and, more importantly in some ways, a guaranteed extra number on every league attendance. I'd agree it'd be a bit daft with a handful of games left, but there's still a huge chunk of the season left yet.

I think it would have been a good idea to make this Saturday's game one of those where we offer a deal to season ticket holders...say a tenner off next year's season ticket if you bring someone with you...you'd probably have to reduce the on the day price to tempt these lapsed fans, but it would be a win-win, surely...? Loyal season ticket holders get rewarded, club makes say a fiver per extra punter if match day price is 15 notes...plus whatever they spend in the ground...we get more people through the turnstiles, therefore a better atmosphere...and the momentum and feel good factor really starts to build.
