I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Anyone starting to think we will be the Arsenal of the World Cup? Be interesting to see if can get behind it

Chelsea under Mourinho possibly. This Arsenal team are certainly boring, more often than not, it seems.

Nah Chelsea the first time were just formidable. Loved watching them.

Terry, Cole, Lamps and Drogba just blew teams away with power and pace.

As I may (or may not) have mentioned my mate from Uni died four years ago - massive heart attack. He was a big Arsenal fan so I'd like them to win for him and his daughter. Also PSG are a horrible club.

Mind you, he could also be a proper arrogant Arsenal div at Uni

Initially, they were really good, over time, they became a touch more attricional. Probably still more entertaining than this current Arsenal team though

They blew us away at home. Unplayable the season they won - my Chelsea mate came up. Think it was 2-0 that match. No complaints.

That small Dutch bloke they had on the wing, he took the piss out of everyone

I just can't remember his name

Glad it's gone to pens. Looking forward to this.

Robben?

Beautiful for that entitled protected twat to lose it for them

You look at the Arsenal end and just think everyone in there is a middle management complete bellend

It's a shame, I wanted them to win, it was always a struggle once they brought that stump Gyokeres on. He did nigh on fuck all, and as usual, couldn't trap a bag of cement. Arsenal really do need to invest in a forward in the summer

I wasn't bothered who won it until penalties, when a wave of patriotism overcame me

At least the team who matter won their final this year

Aye

Him

This long walk up to the penalty spot that's always been talked about as such an ordeal for players in shootouts. Why dont they just move the teams half way down the pitch?

That's a really good point but then you'd have to have officials making sure they don't go over that line whatever that line may be

Because it all helps creates drama, which matters more to rights holders than anything else

Eze's penalty.

I would fckg ban those if I managed a team.

It would need a big old belt barrier and a couple of the many staff they have on hand to enforce it. Always thought that since I started watching football. Why make them walk half the pitch its tight 😃

They only have to walk about 45 yards, it's not that far. Sorts the men from the boys, the weak minded start to crumble during that 10 second walk. It's all part of it.

Ridiculous

Gabriels was similar. Eze is brilliant technically, run up & hit it in the corner normally
