I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

They are talking about march before they move in. First game planned was arsenal but the police and council deem it too high risk for an opening game

The whole thing is a farce though. S/t holders told they would be in the new stadium when they played Man city months ago

Know people who work in building regs who have been to the stadium and say it's an absolute mess.

Then you get the usual stories of arsenal fans doing various things to the ground as workers

Interesting.

Spurs fan I know reckons levy knew full well they wouldn't move in this season but said they would to shift more season tickets, which they wouldn't have sold had it been thought they were playing at Wembley all season

Sounds about right

The original delay was put down to issues about electrical issues and safety stuff.  Probably could have been sorted out a few weeks later

Not things that should put it so far beyond the target date

Levy's excuses don't fit in with the state of the ground apparently

Karanka gone at Forest, knew he'd not last the season, missed a trick at the bookies there, they'd never be happy with scraping points and wins here and there after the money they put in - rightly or wrongly.

4 points off the play offs in 7th

unbeaten in Nov, just the 1 win in Dec, but last time out they beat Leeds 4-2

guess for all the money they spend they expect to be in the play offs at all times

I get the feeling the Leeds win might have been quite inconvenient for the owners, all roads were leading to his sacking at that point. They're draw specialists, think the owners were expecting top two.

Used to work with a Boro fan (ST holder) who said they were boring to watch under him. Would draw a lot of games or ground out 1-0 wins

Yeah I'd heard that too then it seems to have been confirmed with the games I've seen them play on Sky bar a few exceptions. They do have some good players though, I rate Grabban a lot.

Aye the Boro fan's gripe was that they had quality players capable of playing much better football

He went as far as saying he didn't want promotion as under Karanka they would get hammered every week in the prem

if you area good team only missing a scorer in our league, grabban is fantastic

an absolute menace against our lot

he misses a fair few, but he looked a class apart

probably

funny ones them, seems no matter how hard they try or how much they chuck at it, they just can't get maintain a challenge - seem to always lose in the semis of the play offs if they make it, and it's now 26 years since they've been in the PL

Spot on, but our issue is not creating enough for our strikers to miss.

If they end up in the play offs again (especially against Sheff United or Derby) my missus will combust.

Some of their midfielders are good too, I can't stand that ginger twat though, laughed heartily when someone had a do with him during the pitch invasion last season.

That keeper though, dodgy as fuck.

03-04 season was their last in Prem. Not quite 26 (Source - Wiki)

Both wrong

Was 1999

They got relegated in 93, came back up, went down in 99, not been back since

So 20 years

2007-08 - the 11 points season!
