I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Reminded me of the one where a large mob comes down the high street and one kindly wears a yellow jacket so you can watch him dance and not get within 20' of any violence.

The two at the back when the footage starts just didn't really want to play.

Christ I feel old. They look about 12

Bet it was a bit bonkers in that away end.

10k on at Stoke. Them years of media fawning over them having amazing support (when really it was just a dozing premier league being woken up by a bit of an atmosphere) are long gone.

Just as shit as the rest of us. Would be the same for all but about 6 or 7 clubs in PL if they went down, too.

Aye I’ve said it before but they are on the same path as us.

The coats family won’t be chucking any more money at it once the parachute stops.

They had this last chance to appoint a proper manager to get them promoted before the rot sets in and they’ve fucked it and gone for a gamble on a young up and coming manager with no experience. Sounds awfully familiar :)

Theyll follow our path, so will West Brom, so will Swansea, so will Bournemouth and Watford when they come down in a few years time.

All one big cycle for about 20 clubs of similar size.

Sounds good, might do some of this.

Absolutely. Suggests training ground could be a good place to take the lad.

Could be a good day out.

''well as a team from the host venue, Bolton Wanderers''

God that will be embarrassing

Its a good idea though and hopefully will make us soon money; very impressive clubs taking part

Can't do any harm for our kids to play against these others.

If they win.

Does that mean the excuse that ‘they are only playing against pub team academies and would have no chance in the first team’ go away?

or will that stand for eternity?

In fairness, I get the impression age groups might be different, looking at the photo.

Agree with the sentiment though.

Been reading through some of the updates from his press conference, sounded like a masterclass.

Basically laid out in painstaking detail the lengths they go to, to analyse how their opponents play paying particular attention to Derby who he did what can only be described as an autopsy on their entire team.

Says they watched all 51 games derby played last season and spent around 4 hours analysing each game.
