gonzo Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Spurs are dark horses for the title I reckon. Going about their business quietly. Wouldn't mind that at all, quite like spurs. Quote
Rizlar Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Good results today apart from Preston need Fulham to do Rotherham. Quote
gonzo Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Leeds owner bans sky tv from elland road. Wtf haha Quote
Traf Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Stupid move in isolation, but if he can get a few more onside to persuade Sky that their football budget needs restructuring, then it could work. Quote
gonzo Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 They charge our pegs brewery £23k per year to show it. Quote
no balls Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 They charge our pegs brewery £23k per year to show it. Munich Dave was telling me last night it was a stupid amount so he's just ended up fucking it off. Can't blame him really, I'm not sure how much ale you could sell to justify well over 2k a month in a pub that's not really a 'sports bar' anyway. Quote

Most round here have nobbed off BT as they were wanting £12-£19k! Mental. You're fucked if your a free house. Quote
tomski Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Doing some work round this with my job, couple of packages being lined up etc. Still crazy prices though. No one wants to get tied in over the summer months when not a lot football on. The price you pay goes off your businesses rates I'm led to believe Quote
Guest Blixa Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Leeds owner bans sky tv from elland road. Wtf haha I'm guessing he doesn't realise how much that will hit him in the wallet and possibly the courts. Quote
snowball Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I'm guessing he doesn't realise how much that will hit him in the wallet and possibly the courts. Apparently he has pissed off on holiday and told the staff if they let Sky in he will sack them! Menkle. I know what he's saying about the coverage affecting ticket sales but doesn't a club get extra money every time they are on, plus it raises their profile, no? Sky is a business and they are going to show the best supported clubs more, so choosing one of the top clubs on league position (obviously not Leeds) against the best supported (Leeds) is no brainer for them. You can say show everyone equally but it never works that way, what;s his problem apart from being an attention seeking, tax dodging megalomaniac Quote
Traf Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 100k a game in the Championship, 120k on a Sunday, Seeing as our income from gate receipts is around £120k a game normally, can we be on every week? Quote

famouswanderer Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 So we would of got 100k yesterday? seems more than reasonable that. Quote
Gonk Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I don't believe they bring a bag of used notes on the day, it's more likely to be paid two or three times a year Quote
gonzo Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Forest lose tonight and Dougie is a gonner. Quote

Preston have been on twice Think it's around £35 a ticket so you'd only need a drop of 3000 for them to be potentially losing out. If he's done his maths right and they are worse off then I think he has a point but as Traf said earlier them making a stand on their own won't change much Quote
gonzo Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 love it, we win a game, and it's Dougie how you getting on! Win on Saturday and Karl Oyston thread will be back out haha Quote
