Gonk Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 De Villiers Wagon Wheel from the BBC website 09:07 It's taken us a little while, but we've managed to dig out a wagon wheel of AB de Villiers' knock today. And his effort in the first innings. And what he managed in the second innings at Johannesburg. Quote
Guest Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) 245 ahead Enough already? If England bat out the match, we'll win, unless the weather intervenes Edited January 25, 2016 by boltondiver Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 They're batting on too long I reckon. Too many for England to get, and with a storm possible tomorrow, they might run out of time. Quote
famouswanderer Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Keep raining today, and a good old fashioned blockathon required tomorrow Quote
Guest Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Looks like Hales and Compton are happy to exit the Test stage Quote
MalcolmW Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) 52/3 overnight, 329 behind, 90 overs tomorrow. Edited January 25, 2016 by MalcolmW Quote
ex_midlandwhite Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Not many sides seem capable to bat 4 sessions to save a game anymore. To save a day starting 3 down, can't see it but let's hope so Quote
MalcolmW Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 All over by five past nine! England 101. Rabada 13 wickets in the match. Quote
Guest Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 South Africa must wonder how they lost the series But lost they did! Quote
famouswanderer Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I know we won the series, but ffs have some pride and try dig yourself out of a hole. That was utterly pathetic. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I know we won the series, but ffs have some pride and try dig yourself out of a hole. That was utterly pathetic. It was. Feel sorry for the barmy army. Didn't seem too keen to try to hang around. Still, series won so can't grumble too much Quote
Casino Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 unless compton gets the openers gig, he, taylor and hales can wave goodbye to test cricket you cant keep playing with half a batting line up Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 unless compton gets the openers gig, he, taylor and hales can wave goodbye to test cricket you cant keep playing with half a batting line up Not sure what happened to Taylor, did OK in the Pakistan series. Hales is a strange one. Frustrates the hell out of me. In ODI games he can look imperious, then casually chips one to mid off. In tests doesn't seem to be able to apply himself adequately. Compton opening I'd go with. Ali maybe at 3 could play both buttler and bairstow, as the latter seems preferred by the management Quote
maaarsh Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 First ODI today. Taylor averages 46 since they remembered he exists, century in the warm up game, dropped. Shame he doesn't have the Yorkshire mafia writing 3 columns a week on how good he is despite appearances. Quote
maaarsh Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Looking a smart move to rest Rabada; RSA have loads of bowling depth so they can manage without him... Quote
Guest Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Buttler in at 4; carnage if he stays in for 20 or more overs Quote
maaarsh Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 You've bloody jinxed him again. Only England's 5th fastest century, so he's now scored one which is slower than the fastest everyone else can manage Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Could be close this if AB gets going Quote
Guest Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Could be close this if AB gets going Just seen the catch; wow! Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Tremendous. Shame the weather spoiled it. Quote
maaarsh Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Wrap this up tomorrow. Nice stat from cricinfo - With scores of 49 not out, 116 not out, 105 and 48 not out, Jos Buttler has scored 318 runs from 208 deliveries for once out in his last four ODIs. Quote
famouswanderer Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 highest score by an England Player; 167* And still is. Root run out. Quote
