ex_midlandwhite Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 (edited) Great test this. Wouldn't want to chase much north of 200. Edited January 16, 2016 by ex_midlandwhite Quote
MalcolmW Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 SA have folded to 46/6. Two brilliant catches from Taylor and 5/1 in 31 balls from Broad (who was unwell on first day). Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Awesome cricket. There is an England flag with Little Lever on, but its spoiled by Bury fc in the corner Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Superb today. Â Just dream of the time when both the cricket team and the wanderers win at the same time. Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 To be honest, I'm a bit pissed off that I've spent the day watching the Wanderers, when I could have spent the day watching this. Â Actually, that's not true, but sounds like an amazing day of cricket. Â And to think, some of the pundits were saying that Broad was struggling. Quote
Casino Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 south africa have definitely fallen over the edge of the cliff  big rebuilding job  suspect itll be harder than it should be due to political interference Quote

Actually, that's not true, but sounds like an amazing day of cricket.  And to think, some of the pundits were saying that Broad was struggling. He was a bit first innings. Once he got his first he became inspired and bowled one of those mega spells that he does from time to time. Only disappointment was the fact that there's no cricket for a couple of days Quote
Guest Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 To be honest, I'm a bit pissed off that I've spent the day watching the Wanderers, when I could have spent the day watching this. Â Thankfully we had a great weekend, despite the football Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Dorsal has injured his side and misses the last test. Who should replace him? Quote
Guest Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 He should, but they might want to have a look at Foottit Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Another amazing catch by Taylor, albeit with a slice of luck Quote
maaarsh Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 That Cook wicket was coming for a while unfortunately. Â Looks a very difficult pitch to bat on; going to take a great performance to get up near to them, but that would certainly put the pressure on their shower of shite batting if we could. Quote
maaarsh Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Also nice to see people have woken up to the fact Bairstow isn't a wicketkeeper. Great planning for the management to encourage Buttler to go to the IPL so he won't be playing 4 day cricket early season. Â Boycott tries to defend his keeping,, but his constant snipes at Taylor make it pretty clear he knows Johnny's only long term shot is taking that number 5 berth Quote
maaarsh Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 All about saving the follow on now. Â 350 looks a big score on this pitch; 475 is criminal Quote
maaarsh Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Stokes off again  Tell us how well Moen's playing too Quote
Guest Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Tell us how well Moen's playing too   Well, he's not out! Quote
maaarsh Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Need to bumble our way inside 150 behind here; get close enough they have to play sensibly and can't give themselves quite so much time; if we need to bat 4 full sessions to save the game I don't like our chances at all on this pitch Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 There are some issues with the wicketkeeping, similarly all is not right with Cook at first slip, he seems to miss a few. Â Anyway decent effort with the bat. Bit disappointed with the pitch, that one that did Compton was unplayable, and only part way through day two. Quote
ex_midlandwhite Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I personally think Cook is fine, Bairstow is making him look bad. Alec Stewart did a great piece on sky about it a couple of nights ago Quote

Alec Stewart did a great piece on sky about it a couple of nights ago Agree with that, just Cook has missed a few with Buttler keeping too. Definitely more problems with Bairstow though. Perhaps Cook doesn't understand Yorkshire Quote
Casino Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 you cant expect to win many series with the two non batting batters  taylors shot today was pathetic Quote
