Call of duty makes my head hurt. And I'm colourblind so can't tell who the fuck I'm shooting.

 

None of this happened on pac mon or paper boy.

Still got mine in the loft. I drag it out every few years when I start reminiscing. Trust me, your memories are far better than actually playing games on one nowadays. The novelty wears off in less than an hour.

All those old games were "of their time". Fucking brilliant back in the day, but far too tedious to enjoy nowadays. 99.9% of people who buy one of these for nostalgic reasons will probably use it for a couple of days, then never turn it on again.

Not to mention, all those old games are available for free online if you want to play them. Buying one of those new Spectrum's is like buying a black and white telly because you loved Muffin the Mule when you were a kid.

This is nonsense, the C64 was superficially better, with 3 channel sound, hardware sprites, 256 colours and no attribute clash etc. The Spectrum developers put more effort into the actual games, technical innovation. Ultimate Play The Game products such as Knight Lore are up there as technically as some of the most impressive pieces of software ever.

There's pretty much all of them on World of Spectrum.

 

Randomly, the only Speccy games that are hard to obtain are the Ultimate ones as through a series of purchases, Microsoft now own them. Hence why Jetpac came out on Xbox360.
