January 28, 201511 yr 2pts between top and fifth. If playoffs are on so is winning the league. Therefore, it's not on! This time next year though Rodders!
January 28, 201511 yr The play offs aren't happening this season, fact. Next season will be our time. Fuck next season, we should throw the kitchen sink at it now until its mathematically impossible
January 28, 201511 yr Fuck next season, we should throw the kitchen sink at it now until its mathematically impossible We have a winner! Pick a prize from the EIEIEIO shelf!
January 28, 201511 yr Lenny and the lads aren't gonna give this up. Something I did see at Rotherham. Nor should we. Coywm!
January 28, 201511 yr Play offs are not beyond us it's still do able IMO and with teams above us who we play soon wolves,Watford and forest there's ground to be made. Hope I'm wrong but I think the fa cup will end next week depending on the Liverpool team as they looked fairly good last night.
January 28, 201511 yr If it's in our hands, it's in our hands. We have to play the top sides; every point we gain chips into theirs... cup is nice, but Valentine's in sarf London isn't going to gain any brownie points
January 29, 201511 yr I think I'm missing something! At an average 2 ppg is it still mathematically possible to hit the play offs? A defeat & the pessimism starts, beat the Dogheads Saturday & is it back on again? I think February will tell us exactly which way it's going to go. The longer we're in the Cup the harder the Play-offs will be. Anyway, still on for a 90point season 2 points a game probably isn't enough. Our next three away games are Derby, Forest and Boro. Win two of those and maintain our current home form and the play offs could be on. But that is a massive ask. Our home form is bound to dip at some point and barring some great signings with all the win in the world I can't see us winning two of those 3 away games.
January 29, 201511 yr 2 points a game would give us 71 points, which should be enough...but as mentioned, we've a tough run-in. If only we'd got rid of DF half a dozen games sooner. Or not appointed him in the first place.

Or not appointed him in the first place. I've not got the stats but unfortunately my guess is that 71 is more likely not to be enough. The season we missed out on 68 was one of the lowest I recall.
January 29, 201511 yr Just checked - you're right....last year 72 points was needed for 6th, 2011-12 it was 75, 2010-11 was 75, 2009-2010 was 70 and 2008-09 was 74. Going to take some effort to get another 40 plus points from 19 games.
January 29, 201511 yr So yeah, two years ago the 68 points that got Leicester in on goal difference was very low.
January 29, 201511 yr So yeah, two years ago the 68 points that got Leicester in on goal difference was very low. Yes, and the top 6 currently are ahead of most years points wise so probably going to be around the 75 mark to get in there.
January 29, 201511 yr We've still to play the top 6, the top 5 are all away games. All 6 can't keep up this form, generally speaking, at least one usually fades. When we make it, we'll certainly have earned it, no one says it'll be easy but until it's Mathematically impossible.... IT'S ON! (as is the 90point season)
January 29, 201511 yr FA cup run - generate funds, garner full management backing, back on the radar. Solid end to the season - maintain gradual momentum, continue fan belief+support, NL identify players to keep and those to go. Closed season - bring in the right players to provide NL with squad he deems essential, Wanderers fans enjoy hols with new sense of optimism+pride. 2015/16 ... f@@king storm the league with many a memorable away trip. Onwards and upwards.
January 31, 201511 yr Be more than happy with a top half finish and above Blackburn. Next season... And also finish above those shit house cloggers we should have beaten today. ????
this year cup run and 10th for me
