Putin

What's his ultimate aim? If he continues his strategy of destabilising former Soviet states especially NATO affiliated countries, how do we retaliate? I personally believe he/Russia, pose a significantly greater threat than ISIS.

them bombers the other day were older then you

One of them bombers could take London out on its own.

And that fucking barking mad Cossack cunt is flying them 45 miles away.

They didn't have bombers when......????

It all feels like the world's most dangerous of chicken.

I read a book years ago, 'The Sling and the Stone' - by some ex-US Military bloke, anyhow, he reckoned that, eventually, Russia and the West would start sabre-rattling again, he said so many have vested interests (on both sides) in keeping things hostile that it's nigh on inevitable they'd start all these shenanigans again.

Hopefully, this time, the general publics of both Russia and the Western nations won't swallow it and get swept up in nationalistic fervour as they did previously.

Oh aye, there's some 'advisor' to Putin, he's fed him this thesis, not a particularly new concept, that as long as things are in a state of chaos/flux then folk will retain the status quo - that Putin can cement his place within Russia by keeping things in state of chaos...

Hence the Kremlin financing far right groups and far left groups in Europe etc.

The 'advisor' apparently has a background in, performance/concept art - you couldn't make it up.

I think it was on Charlie Brooker's programme, it was one of those interesting things they/he briefly and tantalisingly mentions and should be expanding on, instead they cut to 'Philomena Cunk' or 'Barry Shitpeas' and another of their ''Aren't us British becoming fucking low-brow morons?" 'comedy' skits, which is ironic, really. (I read that last line back to myself in Charlie Brooker's voice :( ).

No idea but them bombers wouldn't get a couple of hundred yards into our airspace.

Do you not think that his intentions pose a real threat to the peaceful stability of Europe? More so than at any other time since the Cuban crisis in the sixties? I'm not one to sensationalise lightly but I've never seen a greater threat in my lifetime.

Maybe if we weren't twatting about in Ukraine he wouldn't be retaliating. Meddling in other peoples affairs, again

Apart from belgians, who aren't really annoying just insignificant, the folk I dislike most abroad are Russians. They are one boorish set of socially inept arseholes I've ever come across. Not long ago they were queuing for bread now they've got a few sheckles they've turned into cunts.

The Kaliningrad Oblast will be the problem, eventually.

:good:

Looking at it, mostly ethnic Russian, why would it be a problem? Bear in mind I had never heard of it 5 minutes ago

They're hosting World Cup matches (Kaliningrad).

It's meant to be shite and not worth the effort (you have to pay for a Russian Visa etc.) - it was one of these 'closed' cities until relatively recently, like Pyongyang and Vladivostock.

No and no!

how old are you?

Are you a sun or daily mail reader?

I am right wing. but the russians are more on my side than many other perceived enemies in this world. Besides if they were, you seriously under estimate their potential and staying power.

No more threat than islam. Ukraine was theirs just 26 years ago. it could be easily be theirs again... do not poke the bear!

Some this is to do with oil, not land mass or protecting borders, but who controls the worlds oil, its fields and price.

What the fuckety fuck has the Sun or the Daily Mail got to do with it? Or even left or right wing ideological dogma. This is a European/global problem. No one's poking the bear, the bear is the aggressor here and the question is how far this will go.

By we, do you mean 'we UK', 'we Europe' or 'we NATO' Ukraine as an independent sovereign state wanted closer links to both Europe and NATO. That's hardly meddling.

It could be an interesting world cup in a few years
