What Would You Do?

You're at the self-service checkout at Asda and you find that the DICKHEAD before you has left £20 in the cash back slot. Now, the dickhead in question has realised his mistake and dashed back. Goes to the self-service point and asks you if there was a nice crisp 20 pound note in the slot. What do you do? Do you say yes mate, here it is, you're lucky bastard. Or play dumb and say no, like a cunt!

In a supermarket in Majorca i'd put a euro in the trolley to release it from the rack outside but whilst i was weighing the fruit some old biddy nicked my empty trolley. I dont hablo espanol so starte

  • Give it back 100%. Treat as you liked to be treated etc.

  • If you find it, give it back. Whether you get thanked for it, is irrelevant.

I did this with a bloke at a cash machine at tesco. Did he say thanks, did he fuck. Did I give him loads of shit for being an ignorant cunt, course I did. Sometimes you do wonder why you bother but if your natural instinct is to do the right thing then you can't help it.

Money on the floor is free game though.

Wife once drew £40 at the ATM at Morrison's. She took the card and forgot to take the money. I spoke to the next person in the queue and asked her if it was in the machine when she got to the front of the queue but her husband stepped in to ask if I was accusing his wife of stealing. I assured him I wasn't so she said she only has the forty pounds she just withdrawn. I then said, yes, in accusing you of being a thieving bitch.

I was fuming but they were an old couple so I could hardly kick off with them.

What did you do undies?

I'd give him the £20.

Do unto others and all that.

A year or two ago I walked into a shop and was prodded by a young looking scrote. He then thrust forward a £20 note he'd seen drop out of my pocket and simply said,"You dropped this outside mate."

It gave me a warm feeling inside.

i once took a £10 that way

and lost a £10 that way

swinges and roundabouts

Steal it and buy heroin

Someone paid with a £50 in Asda? Was probably a forgery, or gained through drug dealing or money made by being a ponce (in the old-fashioned sense - procurement of prostitutes, not being a mincer)  - keep the £20.

Should've followed them home, got a mate to don a high-viz jacket and pose as a water-board official, he keeps them talking at the door whilst you boot the back door in (or prise the patio doors off their track with a pair of garden shears) - then reclaim the biscuit tin from under the bed containing your £40 (and their life savings). That'd have learned them for being dishonest.

Genuine question, doesn't the money swallow back up after a short period of time. Think I have had that a couple of times.

So you do actually carry cash?

Certain consumables can only be bought with cash.

It's called pocket money isn't it

Yes it does. I too have been lucky in walking away without taking the money and the machine takes it back in afree a few seconds. Obvs, it won't do if some cont swipes it before it gets chance to.

Found 50 quid on the floor of tesco. Did I hand it in? Did I fuck.

Actually one of the kids found it so not only was I taking someone else's money, I was setting a really bad example. Still, the BBQ and paddling pool were very much welcomed by all.

Steven is correct :)

I would give it back. Hopefully if i did it i too would get it back.

Though i lost my wallet with credit cards, cash, daughters gift cards, driving licence and a lot more last week and I got fuck all back.

If there was nobody in the queue this would have happened.

The very reason I don't carry a wallet, lose it and you've lost everything.

Told my lad that a while back, he didn't listen, lost his wallet with everything in a few weeks later.

What do you carry your stuff in?

What do you carry your stuff in?

A fine fare carrier bag

I use a wallet apart from when I'm out on the razz. Under no circumstances would I take one on an away day.
